Following the massive #blackout, Spain’s five nuclear power plants (with seven operating reactors) have ceased electricity production for safety reasons
The reactors have been shut down. Although they are no longer supplying power to the grid, the internal systems of each plant remain operational, with backup diesel generators running, according to Spain’s Nuclear Safety Council.

New🇪🇸: A massive power cut across the Iberian peninsula has disrupted operations at several refineries and chemical plants in #Spain today.

All five of
@Repsol
's refineries have been forced to shut, a union representative for the company's workers said. This includes the 220,000 Bilbao refinery which is operated by Repsol's Petronor subsidiary.

Fellow Spanish refiner Moeve said it has also halted activity at its refining and chemical plants in the country and is using back-up power generators "to guarantee the safety and control of the system". Moeve operates the 244,000 b/d Algeciras and 220,000 b/d Huelva refineries. Its 250,000 t/yr San Roque base oils plant is also shutting down.

Chemicals firm Dow said all plants at its Tarragona industrial complex in Spain have been closed.

The longer the power outage lasts, the longer it will take to restart integrated sites. Refineries affected by power outages normally require a 2-3 day restart period. It is unclear yet if any plants have sustained damage.

Over 40 people were aboard the ferry dozens injured some in critical condition to medical helicopter. Ear lifts were needed.

Quite simply, in my view it is not possible.

Each individual must themselves give up their sovereignty, or otherwise sacrifice it to something.

Sovereignty may entail more than most are willing to hold to, though. Each must ask themselves what is more important.

We should discuss this somewhere on the board.

I'm unsure what you mean by sovereignty, and I'm unsure which way you are leaning with whatever it is you do mean by sovereignty.

It's interesting that Fitts brings up the scifi novel "3 Body Problem", which I have heard mentioned several times recently from different sources, and so that also seems to be entering the mainstream consciousness.

I know of the "three body problem" not as a sci-fi novel (not one of my areas of interest) but as a notorious physics problem:

We cannot reliably and accurately compute very far into the future the positions of three (or more) similar sized objects interacting solely under their mutual gravitational forces, because the slightest imprecision in measurement of current positions, velocities and accelerations, or the slightest lack of perfect precision in calculations, lead fairly quickly to arbitrarily large errors in predictions.

In my view, we're about as likely to "solve" this problem using our current science as our ancestors were to solve the problem of flying to the moon using coal powered steam engines.

But, in any case, the current lack of a solution to this three body problem is used to explain the difficulty computing trajectories using a pure gravity model that we would have if some large (big planet or dwarf star) body approached our inner solar system. That I think this "difficulty" has more profound origins, in the very core of our public science, matters little here. We indeed can't measure or compute such, and it (the intrusion into the inner solar system of any such "third party errant visitor") would indeed be a "hang on for dear life and hope you're still here to pick up the pieces" moment.

Whether any 6,000 or 12,000 year cataclysm cycle is due to such a "third body" in a highly eccentric orbit, or due to our solar system moving in some cyclic way through galactic plasma structures, or Paul LaViolette's galactic superwave from the core of the Milky Way, or whatever, that we don't, publicly at least, know yet. But we may get to find out ... even within my current lifetime.

I think the data is conclusive now (if you can keep up with it all) and Ben thinks Einstein was on the right track, even back in his time.
The geological evidence of past cycles is certainly convincing enough, just on its own merits.
Just for starters, how else to explain the wooly mammoths found frozen with tropical green vegetation still in their mouths?
And ancient scorch marks so severe and plentiful, in so many places concurrent over the planet they could only have been caused by a micronova?

I agree, and follow Ben closely.

Perhaps the latter deviates from the book, but in the video it is the alien race that was contacted by Chinese scientists which had the problem of the three suns.
Earth's problem was the alien race's intention to take over Earth once their own planet was destroyed by the three suns' convergence in their solar system.

I have been a long time fan of SciFi which is often very prophetic, and it's interesting to speculate as to how it is that SciFi authors seem to know what's coming.
Are they being clued in via clairvoyant visions, or higher dimensional beings, or ETs or scientists working on secret very advanced projects.
I don't think it can be explained simply by the possibility that they are very imaginative, because there are too many coincidences whereby what they "imagined" are precisely what later materialized.
I recently watched the Netflix video "3 Body Problem" the first season of what will probably be a 3 part trilogy based on the award winning scifi trilogy by the Chinese author Liu Cixin, the first book of which was published in 2015. See: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/3_Body_Problem_(TV_series)

Not to be a spoiler, but speaking of "smart fabrics", I am just now finally watching the Netflix series "3 Body Problem, in which one of the main characters in Season 1, a scientist who has been developing a ground breaking "nanofabric" capable of earning her and her company a fortune, is facing an ethical question which may mean life or death for her and for her invention, as well as for the fate of the company of which she is the primary scientific researcher.
She knows (by means of a mysterious kind of hallucination that she has in common with another scientist) that if she continues with the invention's development, it will mean her death and probably her company's failure and the death of many others. There have been suicides of several other scientists in different fields who have apparently been facing similar dilemmas.
But she also knows that if she discontinues the development, though she may survive, her ethical motives for using her intellectual gifts for commercial purposes thus far and her whole life's modus operandi must come under her own very close scrutiny, while at the same time she will be under great pressure from without to continue with the project because it is so lucrative.
She proceeds with the development, eventually feels very remorseful and is terrified by the devastating weaponry that "nanofabric" creates.

The core theme of the series is a discovery which explains the reason for a periodic cycle which regularly causes calamaties on a planet (or planets-all similar to Earth) which some of these scientists have been visiting via a virtual reality device that seems to have somehow materialized anonymously from a far more advanced civilization.
Sometimes most of the population of the particular virtual planet in question die by fire from an apparent micronova and sometimes by ice, and sometimes other effects of their solar system's 3 suns converging.
...Notice the similarities in bold letters further down in this post.
The scientists in the virtual reality are presented with the problem of discovering what is the cause and the solution for saving the populace of the virtual planet(s) from these regularly occurring cataclysms.

What has always interested me greatly about good scifi ("3 Body Problem", both the Hugo winning trilogy and the Netflix series have received rave reviews (the Netflix series creators are also credited with the "Game of Thrones" series), is that they are often very prophetic about scientific discoveries which have yet to be made, or at least, yet to be made public. ("The Matrix" being perhaps the most obvious example.)

In this case, what the "3 Body Problem" itself is, is primarily a theory developed by one scientist participating in the virtual reality, postulating that the devastating solar cycles are caused by the virtual planet(s) actually being in a system that has 3 Suns.
While in reality on planet Earth now, the solar cycle that our own solar system and the rest of the Milky Way is apparently regularly affected by in devastating ways is what the late Dr. Paul la Violette named the "Galactic Superwave", which issues forth regularly from the Great Central Sun and activates every star as it expands and traverses the Milky Way.
So the fictional cause and the actual theoretical cause differ in that in reality, the regular solar cycles of our own Sun is the indirect cause of the regular cataclysms, the direct cause being the Galactic Superwave.
While the fictional cause is the problem of the 3 Suns which regularly devastate the virtual planet(s).
(But I'm still only on episode 3 of season 1 and have not read the books yet, so I'm sure there are more complexities to come.)

I don't know if there has been a rash of suicidal scientists in our present reality as there is in the series, but it would not surprise me, and I imagine that many scientists are having huge personal dilemmas revolving around personal ethics these days.
It also would not surprise me if some of today's scientists, like many scifi writers seem to have been, are being tutored and/or influenced in some ways by off-world or other-dimensional beings who are knowledgable about solar cycles, the dangers of nanotechnology and other current critical issues.
Whether Earth scientists are consciously aware of it or not...

The task put before the fictional scientists is to figure out how to save the population of the virtual planet(s) from the next approaching catastrophe.
It would seem that if the real problem has been put to today's actual scientists, they have yet to inform the public about it in much detail.
Although those who are awake and aware enough understand what is apparently coming, and some of them at least are revealing their findings which are being recorded and collated by people like Ben Davidson of SpaceWeatherNews.
While some, like archeologist Dr. Robert Schoch, are tutoring the public about recent, definitive findings indicating how people in the past have survived cataclysms like the ones which apparently are presently looming in Earth's near future (a micronova followed by a brief Ice Age).

This applies to the discussions on several other threads where I will be "replying with quote".
I'm no scientist, but to me as an intuitive, this issue is presently the foremost one for Earth, by which all others relatively pale in comparison.
As for the Netflix series, filming of a second season is said to be starting sometime this year and I've read that a third season has been approved as well. I have access to the books, but they are very long and detailed, and I'm not sure I will get through them.

Yeah - related - somehow.

This is a news reporting thread. I am thinking that INDEED, the sneaky sci fi prophecies are not just related some how but part of all the insinuation into our minds of what we will then collectively create. Everytime we witness an event and then immediately are given interpretations, we each then craft a roadmap for what IS and because we expect that what we think IS effects what will become, we each spin a story and live in it.

What I feel really dispirited about is the expectation that we must prepare for a calamity ALL THE TIME. I apologize for a rant on this breaking news thread.

I must rant about PREPARATION. The human activity of PREPARATION for all things that move toward entropy is DEATH creating. The preparing makes that which we fear happen.

The paradox is that all preparations will be swept away in the unleashing of the maelstrum. All defense preparations will create the offense. Think WAR.

For instance, in the end of a world scene, 3 days or any number of days supply will mean diddly. Prepartion to have gold and silver is a pipe dream. The only way to survive is IMO NEVER HAVE IT HAPPEN in the first place.

IMO WE CREATE OUR DEATH. pERSONALLY i WILL NOT COMPLY AND WILL DO ALL in my power TO ALLOW A GENTLE AND UPLIFTING MOVE TO SANITY.

There is no one in my immediate life who will ever have a conversation with me about the fundamental responsibity we have for what we experience. There are some who embrace it on the podcasts. However, the offering of attention always devolves back to the "problems" looming here, there in the astral and everywhere.

I will keep being so woowoo that I accept that all I can personally aspire to experience in this collective is just to maintain my own SELF. When you know that this is a life that is meant to hold values dear and never lose them, the "spins" stop meaning anything. IMO our WILL is supposed to be about how strongly we radiate what we LOVE.

One CAN be amused and frankly keeping one's ability to see the humor is the highest form of protection of SELF. I absolutely expect that weilding humor is about the only "thing" which interrupts the "fear stream" in our minds.

Catherine Austin Fitts does embrace an attitude of amusement. She is grounded in a place where she knows she is an immortal soul. She also always holds out a hope that information will change what she fears.

This is the tight rope we walk when we (who are a minority) look at information shared on PA. We must be able to observe what we perceive with an amused and larger POV where "Reality" operates at a much different "place".

OUR POV will create the miraculous in our lives... like her story of all the people she gave and received support from in her life as pointing to the REAL bank of wealth deposits.

When I feel the amusement, I KNOW I am immortal but expect this body is temporary. I repudiate my fears. I feel them and spit them out into the fire of transmutation with my own wonderful human imagination. I laugh at MY SELF first and enjoy my ridicule because it is tearing down the facades I learned. Then I live in my own little world of miracles that effect just what is in my daily life and make no impression on a collective.

This is what IMO we must KNOW. The temptation top give in the what we are asked to imagine is CONSTANT. If you see this post, IMO you are a soul who is walking the tight rope of faith in what YOU CHOOSE NOW and though REAL< is not seen yet.

We live in multiple orders, the material, family, community, economic, intellectual, ... and spiritual orders. We are responsible for how we choose to live within each order. Prepping and gaining resilience in each level, within practical, balanced, limitations, are worthy tasks.

The spiritual order is NOT superior because our personal spiritual awareness might extend further in the material dimensions of space or time, past the extent of our material lives. Rather the spiritual order is superior because it is an "ordering of orders", giving form, shape and guidance to the lower orderings.

Whether or not my personal spiritual awareness continues past the demise of my physical being, and remains aware that it does so, my material and intellectual being knows not. I suspect it does, and some who have had near death experiences report that it does, but my spiritual power now does not depend on my spiritual awareness having some greater extent in the space and time materium than my physical life, even though I may choose to live in this material world assuming that my spiritual awareness does so extend. If indeed it does so extend, there will be a time and a place, past this material life, to learn that it does ... I'm in no hurry, but I when that time comes, may I welcome the moment with curiosity and a smile.
