    Default The Book of Enoch

The Book of Enoch has always fascinated me not only because of his references to the giants, but also the implications of alien beings on this planet and the fact it was completely removed after the Catholic Church was formed and functioning and the Books of the Bible were put together. Here is a description referencing Enoch in the Bible in the Old Testament so you know where this comes from. It was the Dead Sea Scrolls that gave us the text of the five books written by Enoch. We would never have discovered this treasure had it not been for the Dead Sea Scrolls. Very fascinating stuff since it matches much of what the Summarians wrote about the "Gods" who interacted with man. I can see why the organized Church banned such a book since it was even more realistic and detailed and descriptive of what was going on then we otherwise have in the Bible. Pay attention to the last sentence where he says that "...... the Lord cometh with ten thousands of his saints". That matches what the Mayan Shaman said about 2012 that we put up on the blog back in Dec 2010 and january 2011. He said that the Mayan Calendar referencing 2012 was not to be feared, rather it was the return of the "Ancestors and wisemen". We also did a rabbit hole on RH negative blood which is more a physical proof of the "alien" blood in our species, or about 15% of our species. All very fascinating stuff. As you can see we are going down diverse rabbit holes that are bring us back to one point in each of these which is the influence of alien existance, and possible breeding in our history. Will we see our "ancestors" this time around??? Will they come to rescue us from the evil ones??? All very interesting questions with obviously no firm answers except those we deduce from the writings and evidence garnered so far. Good luck and decide for yourselves. I borrowed a commentary from other site about the book of Enoch since it had references in the Bible you can check out for yourself.

    "Genesis 5:24
And Enoch walked with God: and he was not; for God took him.
Hebrews 11:5By faith Enoch was translated that he should not see death; and was not found, because God had translated him: for before his translation he had this testimony, that he pleased God.
Jude 1:14 And Enoch also, the seventh from Adam, prophesied of these, saying, Behold, the Lord cometh with ten thousands of his saints

    part 1

    part 2

    part 3

    -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I have included below excerpts from a site that is promoting a book which goes into much more detail and explanations about the book of Enoch, that you might want to visit. I found it illuminating and necessary to understanding what important role Enoch played in the Jewish Religion prior to the catholic Church's removal of that book as heretical. I also find his writings more supportive of alien influence and existance than I thought would be the case, thus supporting the Sumarian writings of early times. Also, Enochs being taken alive by "God" from heaven, also supports the possibility of alien retreival of their hybrids, if that is the case. That is simply my humble opinion. But clearly there is reason for the man controlled church to eliminate the full 5 books of Enoch from the Bible, so its up to you to decide why you believe they did that. So check out the site at:http://innertech.com/blog/enoch1a/?u...FUeFQAod-CNkGA

the Book of Enoch was regarded as Scripture by many of the early Church Fathers and Tertullian wrote in about 200 AD that the Book of Enoch had been rejected by the Jews because it contained prophecies pertaining to Christ

this Book is still Scripture in the Ethiopian Orthodox Church

it is an interesting read as it also speaks of spirits that taught our ancestors all kinds of celestial secrets and even begat giant children with them

that was the reason for the Deluge and this is the reason for the split between the seed of man and the seed of the serpent

the illuminati being the seed of the latter ; )

interesting the catholic council of nicea in 325 A.D. thought they had the power to decide what scaps of ancient text would be ALLOWED to be included in THEIR OPINION of what should be considered the WORD OF GOD. probalbly the same lineage of the ones who said crucify him !! thus here you go oh mighty King of England , these are the books that God wants the world to read..... I hope they re-incarnate as squirrels !

In Enoch 69:4-12., there is a list of the names of the fallen angels. This passage is odd because it mentions angels that are not mentioned elsewhere.

Yeqon - "one who misled all the children of the angels, brought them down upon the earth, and perverted them by the daughters of the people"

Asb'el - "one who gave the children of the holy angels an evil counsel and misled them so that they would defile their bodies by the daughters of the people"

Gader'el - "he who showed the children of the people all the blows of death, who misled Eve, who showed the children of the people (how to make) the instruments of death (such as) the shield, the breastplate, and the sword for warfare, and all (the other) instruments of death to the children of the people"

Pinem'e - "demonstrated to the children of the people the bitter and the sweet and revealed to them all the secrets of their wisdom. Furthermore he caused the people to penetrate (the secret of) writing and (the use of) ink and paper"

Kasadya - "he who revealed to the children of the people (the various) flagellations of all evil - (the flagellation) of the souls and the demons, the smashing of the embryo in the womb so that it may be curshed, the flagellation of the soul, snake bites, sunstrokes, the son of the serpent, whose name is Taba'ta"

Names of other fallen angels – 1 Enoch 69:2

    Semyaz, Aristaqis, Armen, Kokba'el, Tur'el, Rumyal, Danyul, Neqa'el, Baraqel, Azaz'el, Armaros, Betryal, Basas'el, Hanan'el, Tur'el, Sipwese'el, Yeter'el, Tuma'el, Tur'el, Rum'el, and Azaz'el

"For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms." Ephesians 6:12

The division of man is key, for a divided house will not stand. At no other point in human history has there been so many divisions within the world. This differents create conflict, want, need, jealousy, hate and all sorts of other things that get attracted by greed and arrogrants. Many people are blinded by their way of life, their flags and the indoctrination they are brought up with. Many of these things are the result of the evils that are here and the master of deceivers and his followers.

Don't know if in the right forum - first time back post

While exploring spiritual awakening (while I was gone), I found the Book of Enoch as a source of insight. The transcript, an ancient Jewish text attributed to Enoch, the great-grandfather of Noah, is often overlooked as a connection to the universe. It seems to reflect on life's purpose and the choices we make.

It asserts that Enoch received revelations from "The ALL" about the nature of the universe, angels, and the future. This was an emphasis on a quest for deeper spiritual understanding.

It was considered non-canonical by early Christian and religious leaders. It was outside the mainstream religious practices and control.

The transformative experiences described in Enoch’s writings, including his ascension to heaven, can symbolize the journey individuals undergo in their own spiritual developments, representing the potential for personal growth and leading to heightened spiritual awareness and awakening. It emphasizes the beauty and interconnectedness of creation. This perspective can foster a sense of reverence for nature, inspiring a deeper spiritual connection to the world.

The exploration of the transcript uncovers not just an ancient text, but a timeless guide for spiritual awakening. It invites us to reflect on our place within the greater cosmos and offers the promise of transformation and enlightenment, reminding us that the quest for spiritual truth transcends time and tradition.

Try researching the Book of Enoch with an open spiritual mine.

Well, it is the only thing in the Abrahamic tradition that deals with Afterlife (except for Islam).

Enoch is a layered accretion spanning multiple authors, probably generations; i. e. the later stories about Nephilim, etc., are additions.

The main core is Enoch rather like Dante traversing the other worlds.

It is the only way that Egyptian-themed Hermetics connects to the pan-Asiatic milieu. Otherwise, Abrahamism and Dharma are complete strangers.

Because it is symbolic, if we think of Noah as a literal person, it will lead us astray. This is not a work that lends itself to social engineering. It may, however, hold some value as a nugget of vision that is absent from Judaism and Christianity.

Look at it that way. Those two only have a few slogans about the most important thing, metaphysical reality. Only Enoch brings this to the forefront. Its origin is really not older than about 300 B. C. E., at which time it held more in common with those "apocryphal" works buried as gnosticism. Probably all of the intellectual and spiritual arguments that people are aware of, were determined in this literary contest.

This was probably the only thing that might have set human mentality on a common ground from Egypt through the Middle East into most of Asia. That's not what happened.

Timothy Alberino | The Watchers' Warning: Is Humanity Worth Preserving? | Jan. 12, 2026

    Description:

In Part 2 of this conversation on The Resilient Show, Chad continues his deep-dive with Timothy Alberino into some of the most controversial and mind-bending biblical, historical, and theological questions of our time.

This episode explores the Watchers, fallen angels, the Nephilim, and the ancient rebellion described in Genesis 6 and the Book of Enoch, along with how these events connect to modern discussions around giants, advanced pre-Flood civilizations, megalithic structures, UFO secrecy, and transhumanism.

Timothy breaks down why the Kingdom of Heaven is a real, physical civilization, why humanity did not invent civilization but inherited it, and how authority on Earth was given to mankind and enforced by the armies of Heaven. The conversation moves into the corruption of humanity before the Flood, the genetic and spiritual implications of the Watchers’ actions, and why these events still matter today.

The episode culminates in a sobering reflection on the future: AI, post-humanism, and the coming crisis of identity, ending with the urgent question: “Is our humanity worth preserving?”

The books of Enoch tell the story of The Watchers, the angels who betrayed God, and their children the Nephilim in much more detail.

These books were omitted from the Bible. Someone decided you don't need to know more.

    Who are 'The Watchers'?

In the Book of Enoch (part of the Ethiopian Orthodox canon but excluded from most Western Bibles), the Watchers are angels tasked with watching over humanity.

According to the story, some Watchers defied God by descending to Earth, intermingling with human women, and teaching forbidden knowledge (like metallurgy, magic, and weapon-making).

Their offspring were the Nephilim, giants or hybrid beings described as violent and corrupt, leading to the Great Flood.

The more time I spend with the Enochic material, the more it feels like we have misunderstood the crime entirely. The Watchers were not punished simply for teaching forbidden things. That framing is way way too modern, too moral, too shallow. The real issue is far weirder. The crime was re-exposure. Knowledge that had already existed was brought back online. Something that had been deliberately sealed was reopened. Humanity was not starting from zero.

When you read the Book of Enoch the language used to describe what the Watchers did is not invention language. It is recovery language. They are accused of “revealing secrets” and “uncovering what was hidden.” One passage states that they made known “the eternal secrets which were preserved in heaven.” Preserved. Not created. Not discovered. Actually preserved. That single word implies prior existence, intentional withholding, and timing. Knowledge was not evil. It was premature.

That idea becomes even more crazy when you look at post flood language in the Genesis Apocryphon and Jubilees. Humanity is not described as newly created. It is described as being set in order again, apportioned anew, re established after judgment. These are admin verbs. Reset verbs. You do not reorder something unless it has already existed in a different configuration. If this were the first and only human story, none of that language would be necessary.

There are also those super bizarre phrases that never get discussed. References to generations that were “not counted.” Peoples whose names were “not preserved.” Worlds that “stood” and were judged. In Second Temple texts, judgment language is legal language. It refers to real entities evaluated and removed from continuity. You don’t erase generations unless there were generations to erase. You don’t seal knowledge unless it has already caused problems before.

When the Watchers descend and reintroduce metallurgy, astronomy, medicine, calendars, and cosmic knowledge, it looks less like rebellion and more like a protocol violation. They didn’t corrupt a pristine humanity. They accelerated a recovering one. Humanity had already lost something once. Knowledge had already been rolled back once. And the text reads like a system designed to prevent a repeat failure. That is why the punishment is so severe. Because timing is everything! I think once you see it that way, the story stops being about fallen angels and starts looking like a warning from a world that remembers what happened last time.

The Book of Enoch, The Watchers & The Apocalypse

The Book of Enoch, also known as 1 Enoch, is a fascinating ancient text that is not part of the canonical Hebrew Bible but is considered canonical by the Ethiopian Orthodox Church and Eritrean Orthodox Church.

One of the most famous parts of the Book of Enoch is the story of the Watchers, a group of rebellious angels who descend to Earth and take human wives, leading to the birth of the Nephilim, described as giants and mighty men.

This narrative is an expansion of the brief mention in Genesis 6:1-4 and provides a detailed account of how these fallen angels corrupted humanity by teaching forbidden knowledge (such as weaponry, magic, and cosmetics) and causing chaos on Earth.

The Book of Enoch provides one of the most elaborate systems of angelology found in ancient Jewish literature. It describes various ranks and functions of angels, including Gabriel, Michael, Raphael, and Uriel. Each angel has specific roles, such as interceding on behalf of humans or leading the heavenly armies against the forces of evil.

The Book of Enoch is primarily an apocalyptic text, filled with vivid and dramatic visions of the end times, the final judgment, and the establishment of a new world order. It describes a future when the wicked (including the Watchers) will be punished, and the righteous will be rewarded in a renewed Earth.

Enoch, the book’s protagonist and namesake, is taken on a series of heavenly journeys where he is shown the secrets of the cosmos, the workings of the universe, the abode of the righteous and the wicked, and the future fate of the world.

The Book of Enoch profoundly influenced the New Testament, particularly in the Gospels, Pauline epistles, and Revelation. For example, the Epistle of Jude directly quotes Enoch 1:9, referring to a prophecy attributed to Enoch about the coming judgment.

The Third Book of Enoch which has always been passed down in Hebrew has troubled a many rabbinical scholars since it has given Rabbinical scholars and seems to have a lot of implications of heresy. It describes Enoch's transformation into the angelic being known as Metatron, who almost rivals that status of God himself.

Default Re: The Book of Enoch

This is something we have covered in linguistic analysis. It's interesting but not very straightforward.

Firstly, Enoch is an accretion. It has early, middle, and late variants, such that Giants are later additions, and the original point by Enoch is lost.

Its origin is ca. 300 B. C. E., having two primary aspects. One is the Zodiac applied to a 365-day year; the Zodiac was by then perhaps a few centuries old, but the year of days was new. It is also around a shift where Greek Daimon lost its original context because English demon is something else.

So, if you see texts of Genesis tinkering with this number, you know that Genesis is not a particularly old document.

Here is an excerpt on how original Aramaic Enoch from Qumran is not the same as the Book of Enoch:

Quote The majority of the fragments, those of Enastr* in their entirety and the
great majority of those of Enastr!, belong to an elaborately detailed and
monotonous calendar in which the phases of the moon, day by day, were
synchronized with the movements of the sun in the framework of a year of
364 days; the calendar also described the movements of the two heavenly
bodies from one ‘gate’ of the sky to another. This part of the work no longer
    exists in the Ethiopic version.

This work, in which the essentially astronomical and calendrical content
was enriched by cosmographic information and moral considerations, seems
to me to be the oldest Jewish document attributed to Enoch. An indirect
allusion is already to be found in Gen. 5: 23, where the writer, having fixed
the age of the patriarch at 365 years, implies, in guarded terms, the existence
of astronomical works circulating under the name of Enoch. It is highly likely,
indeed, that the whole chronology of the Bible, in particular that of the Mosaic
Pentateuch, was elaborated by priestly redactors of the Persian era, taking
as their point of departure the calendar with fixed days and festivals com-
    posed of 364 days.

The origination of this calendar may have been attributed by its anony-
mous inventor to Enoch, as the antediluvian sage par excellence. In the Persian
period this reckoning was of a strictly theoretical nature, suitable as a frame-
work for the distant events of sacred history and nothing more. It was only
the Essenes who introduced it effectively into their liturgical life, during the
second half of the second century, without, it would seem, taking account of
its inevitable discrepancy with the solar year of 365.4 days. It was precisely
through anxiety to find a more concrete reference to the year of 365 days,
employed widely in Persian and Hellenistic times, that the age of the patriarch
was corrected from 364 to 365 years in Gen. 5: 23.

The scientific part of the astronomical Enoch, i.e. the calendar which
occupied the major part of the Aramaic document, is mentioned explicitly
in Jub. 4: 17: ‘(Enoch) was the first among the children of men, born of the
earth, who had learned writing, science, and wisdom, and he described in a
book the signs of heaven according to the order of their months, that the
children of men might know the periods of the year according to the order of
all their particular months.” The first part of the following verse refers no
doubt to En. 80-2, which have an ethical and apocalyptic content: ‘He
was also the first to write ἃ testimony, and he gave this testimony to the
children of men from among the generations of the earth.” But the text of
verse 18b goes far beyond the content of our astronomical document: ‘he
had given notice of the weeks of years of the jubilees, made known the
reckoning of the years, placed in order the months, and proclaimed the
sabbaths of years, (all) that we [the angels] had taught him.” I see in this
a reference to various astronomical and calendrical texts, calculated on the
cycles of three, six, seven, and forty-nine years, copies of which exist among
the manuscripts of Cave 4 of Qumrân.

It is significant that the Jewish author of our astronomical treatise is not
explicit about the exact location of Paradise, his casualness in this respect
being quite the reverse of the interest shown by the author of the Book of
Watchers and by a later redactor (Greek Jewish or Christian ἢ Abyssinian ?)
of the same passage in En. 77: 3.

The cycle of the seven jubilees can be reduced to a table (Fig. 7). It can
easily be seen from this table that the computation is actually a cycle of six
jubilees, since the distribution of the triennial cycles in the seventh jubilee
exactly repeats that of the first. Whatever may have been the reason for the
invention of this cycle, it required no small amount of faith to attribute it,
or that of any other Qumrân calendar, to Enoch; for all these calculations
take account of twenty-four priestly families whose organization and intro-
duction to the service of the temple at Jerusalem date from the Persian era.

That's it -- an early attempt to derive a synchronistic lunisolar year, to pattern out into a system of Jubilees. This is consistent throughout the study. This, being the original tradition, is reduced to a table by translators and hence not present or emphasized in the Ethiopian. Instead, the Ethiopian has the Book of Parables, which Qumran does not.

Aramaic fragments were not found until 1952. Here is a pdf of their comparison to Kabalism.

One finds the equivalencies of Metatron to Hermes, Enoch, and Idris.

That is probably the latest part, which has no existence before the 500s or so:

Quote The Hebrew Enoch or 3 Enoch are the conventional titles given to a cabbalistic compilation, written in Mishnaic Hebrew, the most complete text of
which is preserved in a Bodleian manuscript under the title: *]13n nSO
    ^ n j ]niD '?ii}3W 'Book of Enoch by R. Ishma^'el (ben Elisha*),
the high priest'. ^ It is not at all certain that this manuscript is a reproduction
of an earlier archetype; all that one can say is that at the beginning of the
sixteenth century a German Jewish copyist gave the title 'Book of Enoch'
    to a heterogeneous compilation.

Now the concept of Metatron-Enoch as a single heavenly being is not
attested by the magical texts from Mesopotamia written in Judaeo-Babylonian
Aramaic, which date, I think, from the seventh to eighth centuries or even
from the ninth century. Odeberg does not mention them, though at the
time of his edition two good examples were known.

It is quite possibly an epithet given to Arabic Idris -- Enoch -- Hermes.

And so I am making two points here -- part of Enoch bolts right on to the universal doctrine, and part of it is its own myth-making of questionable value.

Hermes -- Thoth brought this calendar out of Egypt; we can see that for thousands of years, that a single, "The Year", was the crux or focus of everybody, although it was measured in several different ways. It obviously was a long time before it was determined as a fixed number of days, and, because this is objectively true, it is indisputable. Also, Enoch is the only thing in Abrahamic lore that is concerned with Heaven and Hell as a personal experience.

That makes it the only way in which any tradition of the west is similar to the east and to older mysticism.

But then -- just as happens in most other genres -- the appearance of Fallen Angels perhaps leads to misunderstandings wherein other peoples or nations are to be "demonized". What would be the reason to concoct an episode on Mt. Hermon that opens a dangerous door?

Quote The curse of Mount Hermon on the other hand has no Biblical parallel,
and in order to explain this allusion in full it is not sufficient just to refer
back to En. 6: 5 f. and 14:1 7 ff., as Montgomery has done (p. 126). It is in the
Chronicle of George Syncellus that the Greek text of this incantation is to
be found. The chronicler says it comes from the 'first Book of Enoch on the
subject of the Watchers'; in actual fact it comes from the Book of Giants,
as we have suggested above (p. 319).

...the Book of Giants, which is of a much more recent date...

In conclusion, the Judaeo-Babylonian magical texts contain several themes
peculiar to Enochic literature. The curse of Mount Hermon, to which these
texts allude, was certainly to be found in the Book of Giants; other Enochic
elements which have just been discussed probably come from there also.
About the seventh century, knowledge of these themes is thus widely
authenticated at the popular level. Scholarly and literary knowledge probably goes
back to the beginning of the fourth century, because—in the light of the
information discussed—^the author of the Jewish adaptation of the Manichaean
Book of Giants will readily be acknowledged as the rabbi Joseph who
is mentioned at the beginning of the midrash on Semhazai and 'Aza'el. It is in
fact R. Joseph bar Hiyya (died A.D. 333), who was the successor to Rabba
bar Nahmani in the academy of Pumbedita.

In terms of the Zodiac, it would have known of the Sidereal Zodiac, it would not have known you take the First Point of Aries and rotate it so the signs no longer consist of the stars they are made of.

The fact remains that a person incarnate experiences The Year, and then Enoch attaches metaphysical reality and/or afterlife to it, Heaven and Hell. But Judaism and Christianity are almost silent on the afterlife. This Apocrypha represents the whole thing. Obviously it would have a connotation of Hermetic lore. This is really what is needed for, I would say, inner personal spiritual development, compared to the following of rules or repetition of formulaic prayers, and so on. It's better quality with lasting value.

The text is something that originates as Aramaic and possibly Essene, before various occurrences on Mt. Hermon, which was taken by the Roman Empire and given to the Jews who lived there in the time of Herod, and soon afterwards a huge set of pagan monuments was built.

The crudest correspondence is that the Roman pagan oath from the top of the mountain has been re-worked as the oath of fallen angels.

It's basically to Baal of Mount Syria:

Quote There is a sacred building made of hewn blocks of stone on the summit of Mount Hermon. Known as Qasr Antar, it is the highest temple of the ancient world and was documented by Sir Charles Warren in 1869. An inscription on a limestone stele recovered by Warren from Qasr Antar was translated by George Nickelsburg to read "According to the command of the greatest a(nd) Holy God, those who take an oath (proceed) from here." Nickelsburg connected the inscription with the oath taken by the angels under Semjaza who took an oath together, bound by a curse, in order to take human wives in the Book of Enoch (1 Enoch 6:6). Hermon was said to have become known as "the mountain of oath" by Charles Simon Clermont-Ganneau. The name of God was supposed to be a Hellenized version of Baʿal or Hadad and Nickelsburg connected it with the place name of Baal-Hermon (Lord of Hermon) and the deity given by Enoch as "The Great Holy One".

It may be a point of departure, if Kabalistic Yahweh is this, and scriptural Yahweh destroys it.

2 Enoch is quite possibly from before the destruction of the Second Temple, wherein is the ascent to Heaven and the Order of Melchizidek.

It is unique with its references to Achuzan, and that Melchizedek, instead of being descended from Shem, is related to the unknown "Nir". That virtually guarantees an attempt to work outside an established priestly lineage.

Here is a page of its text.

    It invents Kalkydri:

khalkós "brass, copper" + ὕδρα hýdra "hydra", "water-serpent" — lit. "brazen hydras", "copper serpents"

It has the new kind of Egyptian year, a new companion of the Phoenix, and a new brother of Noah, in the subject of Heaven, which is not really a part of Judaism.

This text is called Slavonic because it is popular in Bulgaria and with the later Bogomils. In other words, popular with Christians.

The last thing in the Ninth Heaven is Houses of the Zodiacs, then Enoch beholds the face of the Lord, and transforms into an Angel or Seraph, before he is shown the processes of Creation.

Although this is an exaltation of Babylonian astrology, what is unusual, compared to laws recorded there, is that Judaism forbid sorcery but not dealings with "daimons" in the guise of creatures such as Shedu, which were believed to actually walk the earth, and might do good or evil things. Babylonian Jews could contract with them. In Enoch, you see punishments against "sorcery", the first part of this list, as well as the "creatures":

Quote ...witchcraft, enchantments, divinations, trafficking with demons, who boast about their evil deeds – |stealing, lying, insulting, coveting, resentment, fornication, murder...

And that a fallen angel is entering their form:

Quote And the light which is never darkened was perpetually in paradise. •And the devil understood how I wished to create another world, so that everything could be subjected to Adam on the earth, to rule and reign over it. •The devil is of the lowest places. And he will become a demon, because he fled from heaven; Sotona, because his name was Satanail. •In this way he became different from the angels. His nature did not change, 〈but〉 his thought did, since his consciousness of righteous and sinful things changed.

This begins to conflict with the prior meaning, where a Daimon is an individual ray from Zeus, the demon is reduced to some kind of creature that only does evil.

But Enoch is still trying to carry significant Greek meanings, such as in Creation:

Quote And on the fourth day I commanded: ‘Let there be great lamps on the heavenly circles.’

    On the first, the highest circle, I placed the star Kronos;

    on the 2nd, 〈lower down, I placed〉 Afridit;

    on the 3rd Arris;

    on the 4th the sun;

    on the fifth Zeous;

    on the 6th Ermis;

and on the 7th, the lowest, the moon.

And with the lowest stars I beautified the air below.

And I appointed the sun over the illumination of the day, but the

moon and stars over the illumination of the night. •And the sun goes in accordance with each animal, and the twelve animals are the succession of the months. And I assigned their names and the animals of their seasons, and their connection with the newborn, and their horoscopes, and how they revolve.

Again we find the Zodiac; it is almost the main point of this work.

If it means anything at all, the beginning must mean something:

Quote And they took me up onto their wings, and carried me up to the first heaven, and placed me on the clouds. •And, behold, they were moving. And there I perceived the air higher up, and higher still I saw the ether. •And they placed me on the first heaven. And they showed me a vast ocean, much bigger than the earthly ocean.

So if I tend to come into things with a degree of skepticism, I'm going to say, well, the Zodiac isn't anything primordial, it is kind of abstract and difficult and therefor somewhat artificial, I'm left with other factors such as a fixed number of days in a year, the motion of the equinoctical point, and certain stellar entities such as the Pole Star as being of obvious physical significance.

I would think it was meaningless unless it was about something you can do, so, looked at in terms of what do you mean ether, first heaven, ocean, it would then not be a problem to elevate this by an individual as The Year through planes of a fiery nature to some ultimate presence that could be the magnetosphere. This would be cognate to mysticism I think. It's been put in a peculiar dialect of a minor Aramaic Jewish sect that may no longer exist as such, with its material accreted later by others.

That's why I find it a potential cross-roads or meeting ground. When someone starts to think that 2 Enoch is something you, personally, do, then I would start to think we have similar ideas. I think that is beneficial.
