    Remember this story

    Or, How about this story

There were literally hundreds of stories in the mainstream media from the NYTimes, LATimes, WAPOST, and ALL the network television stations that were nothing more than lies and wishful thinking. The truth is, Trump put inflation in check, the stock market is hitting new highs and the deficit is falling faster than Democrat approval ratings. So what has actually happened.

I made the same post on Liberation Day: US Tariffs on Everyone

    What Impact Have Tariffs Had?
Now that we are more than halfway through 2025, it is clear that many of Trump's critics regarding his tariffs were simply wrong. Not surprisingly, the critics were driven by their political ideology rather than sound economic judgment. Many of these economic experts, youtube influencers and podcasters swore to their viewers and readers that the tariffs were going to crash the market and sink the economy by mid-summer. These experts are getting schooled by Trump, he has shown them that tariffs protect existing American manufacturing, return American manufacturing to American soil, reduce trade deficits, and serve as leverage in trade negotiations.

The destruction of Globalization was never about Tariffs
Many of the so-called geopolitical experts said that Trump's tariffs were going to end globalizaion. The tariffs were meant pull American manufacturing back on US soil, and generate revenue to offset the deficit but they were never intended to end globalization.

Illegal Immigration Stops Globalization in the USA and Sends a Message to People Around the World
Trump's shift away from globalization is evident in his policies and actions. First and foremost, Trump has put an end to illegal immigration in the USA and sent a clear message to the people (not governments) of the world that unvetted, unimpeded illegal immigration is not good for any country.

    Peace Prevents Globalization
Trump understands that war is the staple of the globalist. He knows that peace around the world prevents the influence of globalization in several ways, both by promoting stability and by potentially slowing certain aspects of global interconnectedness. Peace reduces the need for international intervention, stops the flow of aid and decreases migration flows. The linchpin of globalism is to create war and conflict so that the people of the world feel that only a global government can solve the problem. It never ceases to amaze me that peace is one of the main reasons that Trump is so reviled.

Trump Cancels Accords, Treaties and Pulls the USA out of Global Organizations
He also views international agreements as a serious constraint on American sovereignty. Trump has rightly called the United Nations "a poorly run organization full of diplomats incapable of making consequential decisions." Trump's strategic withdrawals have had a disproportionate impact on the legitimacy and functionality of Global institutions. UN Secretary-General António Guterres has expressed concern over the "decline of U.S. leadership and soft power, warning that global problems cannot be solved without American engagement." When you see the word engagement, read American money. Trump has pulled the United States out of the following organization, and this is only the beginning.
    • (UNHRC) UN Human Rights Council
    • (UNESCO) United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization
    • (UNRWA) UN Relief and Works Agency)
    • (WHO) World Health Organization
    • (ICC) International Criminal Court
    • Paris Climate Accord
    • Universal Postal Union
    • Trump terminated the U.S. International Climate Financing Plan
    • He is ready to withdraw from the International Energy Agency
The is little doubt that Trump's preference is for unilateral, transactional foreign policy. His entire focus is on returning financial health to the USA, bringing back common sense and the destruction of the global agenda.

There's so much good vertical thinking in this conversation I don't know how to describe it in terms of the usual horizontal think-bite topic classifications.

All I can say is, listen to it.

Those who support Trump think he is taking down certain dark powers That means it is totally absurd to compare this to past US regimes like Bush, Obama , Clinton, etc. who are the darkness itself. So, its pointless to make connections to the past when US screwed up the middle east and supported opium in afghanistan.

Trump absolutely dislikes drugs. Of course , he isn't going to wipe out all drugs and who knows which are providing important funding for secret military or whatever.

Rizotto claiming its impossible to stop cartels. Tell that to El Salvadore. Doing the same in Mexico or Venezuela is taking them out enough, cuz families now feel safe to play outside and enjoy life. I think he will still be complaining about Trump (if) after Canada collapses from its insane woke policies. lol

Are we controlling the oil fields in Iraq now? No. Why are people so corrupt to just make wild assumptions to try and persuade people. Im sure Trump wants to get a new gov't in Venezuela in order to make big business deals with them which involves oil and other resources. But they arent just going to steal their oil fields lol. Maybe temporarily to fill up the tanks to steam roll the regime.

The main reason is to cuz they need to set up an industrial powerhouse in the Americas going forward, and that requires everyone south of USA to straighten up. I just seen a podcast with a former Mexican special forces who said thats the main reason theyre on Mexico's butt now. Its obvious that they see huge potential for an industrial powerhouse if partnering with the developing countries south of US.

And who was it that said the chain of command is China > Iran > Venezuela > Cuba/Mexico

Sounds fairly close to reality to me. I don't like the imperialism either, but if the US doesnt do it, the other big powers will. Russia absolutely is taking territory. China took tibet and wants more. They are also taking over economically and exporting its people everywhere. So, its very disingenious to put all the imperialist blame on the US. They are all pushing, and Trump is now pushing back on 3 of the little guys in the chain which are shots on china.

These are not what I would call healthy headwinds pursuant to the diktat:

Quote Wall Street slips as inflation data fans tariff concerns

Wall Street's main stock indexes fell on Friday, with technology stocks declining the most, after inflation data came in higher than the central bank's target as expected and stoked concerns of tariffs feeding into prices.

The in-line numbers did little to change bets of an interest-rate cut from the Federal Reserve in September, especially considering Chair Jerome Powell's dovish comments at Jackson Hole where he acknowledged labor market weakness.

A Commerce Department report showed the Fed's preferred inflation gauge, the Personal Consumption Expenditures Price Index, rose 2.6% in July as expected on an annual basis - above the central bank's 2% target.

A measure of underlying prices suggested U.S. tariffs on imports were starting to reflect in the prices of some goods.

The U.S. tariff exemption for package imports valued under $800 also ended on Friday, raising costs for businesses and, in turn, consumers.

    Closer to tangible terms:

Quote Among others, global economy bellwether Caterpillar (CAT.N), lost 3.1% after raising its annual estimate for tariff-related costs.

I can't speak for anyone else, but I'm going to feed these people. It's not a weird financial instrument or some skeezy AI company, this is the stuff that builds everything. Apparently there is a monkey wrench in their engine, like the guy from Ford said.

Yes, this will probably play into the hands of the Ivory Towers, while anyone who deals with actual stuff is being exploited to dust.

I am certainly not surprised that you are unhappy about the Price Index increasing at a 2.6% rate in July. After all, it is only slightly above the central bank's 2% target. I believe no number outside of 2% would be good enough. There is little doubt in my mind that if the number had been -1% you would have posted that deflation lowers business revenues and gives pause to companies to make new investments. If it had been somewhere between 8-9% (like Russia's current inflation rate), you would have screamed bloody murder. But I think we can agree that it is not really about inflation or the price index at all, it is about much more.

Staying on topic for a second, 2.6% is not bad. The ideal number would be 2%. This is a far cry from Biden-caused inflation of 9.1% which was the highest in 40 years. Biden did such a poor job with the economy that it will take time to get it right. I also think Trump's tariffs will increase prices a bit beyond 3% (maybe 4%+) for a few months while more investment is poured into the USA and manufacturing is repatriated to US soil. I trust that most people will ride this out to achieve financial stabalization and higher wages. I don't disagree with Ford's assessment that there is a monkey wrench in the engine, it was put there intentionally by Trump. It is called a tariff on cars made overseas. When Ford starts moving production back to US soil, the problem will be resolved. The reset on tariffs will be constantly adjusted over the next year, and that is as it should be.

    I don't understand this comment??
Quote I can't speak for anyone else, but I'm going to feed these people.

    EDIT
This court ruling came out shortly after I made the above post:

The U.S. Court of International Trade initially overturned most of President Trump's tariffs today, ruling that his use of the International Emergency Economic Powers Act (IEEPA) to impose sweeping tariffs was illegal and exceeded presidential authority. However, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit temporarily stayed that ruling, allowing the tariffs to remain in place pending appeal.

The Federal Circuit issued a 7-4 decision (along party lines) affirming that the tariffs were illegal, agreeing that Trump had overstepped his authority by using IEEPA to impose tariffs, but it vacated the lower court’s injunction, permitting the tariffs to stay in effect for now while the administration appeals to the Supreme Court. The Supreme Court may not take this case on until the Spring of 2026, but that is unlikely. While there are no guarantees which way the Supreme Court will rule, the prevailing wisdom is that they will overturn the decsion of the US Court of International Trade.

From Bill Clinton’s $1.5 million payday with UBS to Ghislaine Maxwell’s cooperation with the Justice Department, the evidence points to a pay-to-play system that could finally bring accountability.

What's the actual outcomes for USA citizens following Trump's new directives? Not interested to hear about the 1% superwealthy bloated portfolio. Or the stock market curves.

I keep coming across videos after videos from americans lamenting the huge increase in prices, the increasing homelessness due to unaffordable housing. Am I getting biased video feed? Or is it reality? Here's an example, one out of many more I've seen recently:

OMG! Looks like something's about to crash and burn.
Haven't we been strung along long enough? Just release the Epstein files, now.
And stop Israeli pedophiles from molesting more American kids, instead of letting them get off the hook and flee to Israel.
And don't start WW3 against Iran.

Very interesting interview with Col. Wilkerson: world power inexorably shifting from west to east, Israel's expansion agenda, war against Iran, christian zionism in USA, obligatory 'prayer meetings' at the Pentagon, etc.

There was an excellent article in French about the last meeting of China, Russia, India, Turkey, Bellarusse, Iran, North Korea, and few little countries.

The article was explaining what China was offering to countries where the US has imposed large tariffs. While USA is asking money, China is giving them money.

They were also saying that all the countries around Vietnam were now alined with China, therefore isolating Vietnam which does not want to go China's way.

They were also writing that up to the last minute India did not want to align with China, it wanted to remain kind of neutral in terms of economy.
But the tariffs imposed by Trump are so prohibitive for a developing country, albeit the most populated in the world, that India had no choice but to align with China.

They were also talking of about the Middle East and Israel, but the main topic was the agreements in the East, one of them being that they will do commerce in their countrie's currency, therefore dumping the US dollar.

They were saying that Trump is pushing the East and India in the hands of China.

Also that the West was lost in part because they had no more steady agreements amongst themselves, the USA being fundamentally unreliable for commerce.

Of course, I am paraphrasing and in a translation manner, but you get the gist.

I am sooooooo sorry for the USA, and for my country, but I do think that the USA is cooked. Anyone still making business with it are kind of in a forced marriage where they are not feeling good and want a way out.

China present itself as the side lover. And it is working for many. In my opinion, Chinese economy will dominate within 5 to 10 years. No doubts about it. Chinese plan for 100 years, it is in their culture, their cognitive biais. And this is not a good news for us, occidentals and for freedom of the people either. USA plans (used to be 4 years) now for 6 months, sometimes everything changes within 2 weeks. No planning. Truthfully not bright.

I am so sorry for all the occidental centrist thinkers who see what is going on worldwide and at home, with extremes always gaining ground (right or left, the same).

But hey! Trump's family will have its Riviera in Gaza and the billions coming with it, thanks to Saoudis, the Quatari and the Israeli, and Trump's gold plane (don't I wish it would crash in my backyard to looth very fast as much gold from it as possible, toilet handles, hooks, etc.).

Trump's family already made billions out of cryptos, and all kinds of other deals. This is the times of their life. I have a hard time understanding that the extreme left does not yet see through. Their wallet has to be taken I presume in order to see what is going on. The problem is that my wallet in my country will also be taken at the same time.

Today, representative Thomas Massie organized a press conference on the capitol hill with the survivors of Epstein's child trafficking. These survivors said on camera that they are compiling their own list of abusers.

Happening today as well, during a White House press conference, Trump repeated his previous claim that the Epstein matter is a 'democrat hoax'.

There are many videos on the internet reporting on the above. Here's one of them, among many others, which includes the clip of Trump's "hoax" comment today:
It's getting CRAZY at the White House...

How many folks here figure out that Epstein's clients have ties to both the Democrat and the Republican parties. And that's why the cover up has continued to this day.

    Mod note from Bill:

I just moved 6 posts, basically a discussion about Chinese or pro-China propaganda, to this thread:
I fully support the posts (and the important discussion, for which I'm very grateful to onawah ), but they didn't really belong on this Day 1 of Trump's Presidency... and all the days that follow thread.

Just another tactic to deflect public attention from the Epstein files...

As for the celebratory tone following that horrific attack, that's what so wrong with too many fans of USA military crimes. They think USA has the authority of conducting these extra-judicial assassinations just because... they can. No examination of the suspects, or proof of anything needed. That's why the world is such a horribly violent mess today.

Below is an analysis by former USA marine Scott Ritter about the illegality of this attack, and that there would have been much more constructive approaches to deal with these suspected drug traffickers.

The war has been going for decades.

    War IS extras judicial.

When we the little people wake up and fight back, as has started to be so since a decade ago, it's still extra judicial. It will remain extra judicial until the enemy throws in the towel.
