Lei’s Real Talk reports that on Friday, nine of the highest-ranking generals of the Chinese military were expelled in a single day, due to “serious crimes”, their cases handed over to military prosecutors for indictment. This is absolutely unprecedented and it comes just before the CCP’s Fourth Plenum, which starts on Monday.

Lei reports that all nine generals removed are considered to be Xi Jinping loyalists, saying, “They’re not just his loyalists, they are the pillars of the Xi Faction. They are his handpicked, diehard loyalists.”

What’s interesting is how the Western media is reporting this. They’re saying that Xi Jinping is behind the purge, when that simply doesn’t make sense, because these expelled generals were his loyalists. They were key for Xi’s planned Taiwan operations and they were key to his nuclear missile program – but now, they’re waiting to be indicted.

The nine generals are:

• He Weidong, China’s No. 2 general, the Vice Chairman of the Central Military Comission, who was Xi Jinping’s Right-Hand Man in the military. Xi had fast-tracked him. He was skipped three ranks to Central Military Comission Vice Chairman. Three years later, He is the shortest-serving CMC Vice Chairman and Politburo member in the CCP’s 76-year history, which is absolutely humiliating, not just for him but for Xi Jinping.

• Miao Hua, who was like Xi’s Left Hand Man. He came from Xi Jinping’s old base, the old 31st Group Army in Fujian and he was Xi Jinping’s chief political commissar and personnel boss, responsible for promoting senior officers and ensuring ideological loyalty. Lei says that Xi’s original plan was to have He Weidong succeed anti-Xi factionalist, Zhang Youxia as first CMC Vice Chairman, in order to form a triangle of absolute control but now, Xi Jinping’s got both hands chopped off.

• He Hongjun, who was promoted to a full general last July and also appointed Executive Deputy Director of the Political Department to replace Miao Hua.

• Wang Xiubin, who also came from Xi Jinping’s old base, the 31st Group Army in Fujian.

• Lin Xiangyang, who replaced He Weidong as Commander of the Eastern Theater. Lei says Lin rose from Lieutenant General to Full General in just 14 months – the fastest promotion, ever – and that Xi counted on General Lin to lead the Eastern Theater Command, the main force for any Taiwan operations. But before any war has begun, Lin has now been purged.

• Qin Shutong, like Miao Hua and Wang Xiubin, had once been political chief of Fujian’s 31st Group Army. He was supposed to be Xi Jinping’s trusted political inspector in the army but when Miao went down, Qin followed.

• Yuan Huazhi, who is similarly going down, due to the fall of his mentor, Miao.

• Wang Houbin is the fourth Rocket Force commander to be purged since 2023. Lei calls the Rocket Force Xi Jinping’s Crown Jewel, responsible for China’s nuclear and missile arsenal, key to both Taiwan operation and US deterrence. Lei says, “This elite branch has now lost four consecutive commanders under Xi and they’re not just consecutive...It’s only been around for 10 years. So it only has had four commanders, but they’re all gone...So think about it. One mistake is forgivable. Two, understandable. Three, disastrous. But four? That’s catastrophic, right? So, four rocket force commanders have been eliminated.”

• Wang Chunning, the Armed Police Chief, commander of over 1 million soldiers. Lei says Xi Jinping had trusted this man very much. He had restructured the armed police out of fear of coup. Xi purged the previous generals from the Jiang Zemin-Hu Jintao era and installed Wang Chunning but now, he’s been purged.

Nine generals – all handpicked by Xi Jinping, all loyal – all toppled.

You would think this would be headline news, but it’s not. Lei says Xinhua published the story, but they buried it in a place you could hardly find on their website and it was downplayed and mixed with unrelated stories.

So the question, of course is: Did Xi Jinping take down these generals himself, or was it his opponent, Zhang Youxia? Lei thinks the answer is obvious.

For months, Lei’s Real Talk has reported that Xi has lost power and that China’s political and military establishment has become divided into a pro-Xi hardliner faction that insists on fighting the US and the more US-friendly anti-Xi faction headed by retired CCP elders, including Hu Jintao, Wen Jiabao and the active duty General Zhang Youxia, that wants to ease tensions and to restore good relations.

Lei says:
“These loyalists, I believe, were taken down by Zhang Youxia. I don’t think Xi Jinping has the guts to take down this many of his own people. Even if he did, it would make him look very bad, and he has no reason to do it, unless they went against him.

“But there’s no way these nine generals would rebel against Xi Jinping alone, without the support of Zhang Youxia. It just doesn’t make sense. And the biggest evidence to me is the split between..the Defense Ministry and state media. Because if this were Xi Jinping’s move, state outlets like the People’s Daily, the CCTV, would be all over it, right? But they’re not. They muted the news and played it down.

“Remember, I said that Xi Jinping still controls 95% of the propaganda machine, even though he only controls 10% of the military. So that’s proof that this was not Xi Jinping’s action. It was Zhang Youxia’s doing.”

On Saturday, another bombshell dropped from political commentator Cai Shenkun, who has been accurate in the past and who is highly-respected and considered to be objective. He revealed to the Epoch Times that the military purge is far from over and that, following the expulsion of the first nine generals reported publicly, an additional 28 generals had been dismissed, including Xu Xueqiang, Xu Xisheng, Xiao Tianliang, Zhong Shaojun and Cai added, “I’ve been told there are still hundreds of generals waiting in line to be investigated.”

Cai said that according to credible sources, of the original nine generals purged on Friday, He Weidong is said to have died of a sudden heart attack in detention and He Hongjun had committed suicide (!)

Imagine if this were happening in the US military?

Lei says there is speculation that this is anti-Xi factionalist Zhang Youxia‘s last-ditch effort to prevent Xi Jinping from staging a comeback and to stop a civil war from breaking out inside the PLA or inside the CCP.

Lei says:
“It’s said that the battle between Xi Jinping and then the anti-Xi faction...has become so intense that Zhang Youxia hasn’t been going home at night, due to safety concerns. He works in the PLA Bayi Building during the day and goes to the Xishan Command Center to rest at night. But that was weeks ago. Now, he probably stays somewhere for the whole 24 hours.”

In Lei’s opinion, the CCP is openly divided and already at war. Xi Jinping doesn’t want to step down but Zhang Youxia is forcing him to do so – and the 3-day, closed-door Fourth Plenary Session to map out China’s five-year plan to 2030 starts on Monday."

i’m guessing the latter might be media mogul, dragan Šolak, founder and part-owner of united group, which provides broadband, mobile and tv services in eight southeast european countries.

In september 2024, national file tweeted the timeline below, while speculating that china paid for fox’s settlement of dominion’s defamation lawsuit:

patrick byrne tells emerald now that some good researchers have found that it was the cia who loaned $1 billion to china for them to then loan to fox but he’s not sure yet if he can hang is hat on that.

Of the recent acquisition of dominion voting systems by liberty vote, patrick told emerald in another podcast last week:

“organized crime has this long history. They take companies, when the doj and the sec get too close, they fight all they can. And when they get too close, they just crack the company and shove it into another that they are really behind, as well. And they just play the shell game for decades with the doj and sec.

“they did this all through the ‘90s. If you’ve ever seen that movie, ‘wolf of wall street’, go look. Those companies, when they buy old dying companies that have premier names that people will recognize, and then they do a bunch of mischief in them. And then when they get caught, they sell themselves out to another company with an old name, but [say] that they ‘fell on hard times’. They just play these shell games for decades. So this could well be the same technique evolving in the election technology industry. That’d be my first guess.”

"A Chinese “wolf warrior” diplomat’s provocative statements have received criticism and protests from Japan and internationally.

On Monday, Japan criticised China’s consul general in Osaka, Xue Jian, who posted on X a veiled death threat after Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi suggested that Tokyo could become involved in military action if Taiwan were attacked by Beijing.

Minoru Kihara, Japan’s Chief Cabinet Secretary, told reporters on Monday that Xue’s statements were “extremely inappropriate.” He said Japan’s foreign ministry and the Japanese embassy in China had lodged a protest and asked for the post to be deleted.

Xue’s threat targeted Takaichi’s remarks on Nov. 7, when she said that Chinese military action against Taiwan—such as a naval blockade involving warships and the “use of force”—could constitute a “survival-threatening situation” for Japan. Under Japanese law, such a situation could allow Japan to exercise “collective self-defence.”

In response, Xue shared a news article citing Takaichi’s comments on X on Saturday and commented, “cut off a dirty neck without a moment of hesitation, Are you ready for that?” followed by an angry-face emoji.

Xue’s post went viral in Japan, amassing multiple screenshots before he deleted it (likely by Sunday). Many in Japan, along with global political activists, called for declaring Xue persona non grata and expelling him from Japan.

European Parliament member Miriam Lexmann said on X, “What utterly disgusting remarks, typical of communists around the world responsible for tens of millions of dead.”
The U.S. ambassador to Tokyo George Glass also criticised Xue’s threat to Takaichi and the Japanese people. He responded to Xue’s post, saying it was “time for Beijing to behave like the ‘good neighbor’ it talks repeatedly about—but fails repeatedly to become.”
Karen Kuo, spokesperson for the presidential office in Taiwan, said Taiwan “takes seriously the threatening remarks made by Chinese officials toward Japan. Such behavior clearly exceeds diplomatic etiquette,” Kuo said in a statement.

While China’s Foreign Ministry spokesman Lin Jian made no apology on Nov. 10, he called Takaichi’s words “wrongful” and urged Japan to “stop interfering in China’s internal affairs.”
Lin’s response was soon posted by Xue on his own X account.
'A Taiwan Contingency Is a Japan Contingency'
Takaichi said her remarks were “hypothetical” in parliament on Monday, but she stood by her comments when asked to clarify her position.
“Although I did state a number of possible scenarios, I also said the government will make a comprehensive judgment on whether the situation constitutes a ‘survival-threatening situation’ taking into account all information,” she said.

She clarified that Chinese ships merely encircling Taiwan would not be recognized as “a survival-threatening situation” for Japan, but if Beijing imposed a naval blockade amid fighting, that would constitute such a situation, prompting Japan to dispatch its Self-Defense Forces in support.

Beijing claims sovereignty over Taiwan, which it has never ruled. Taiwan’s democratically elected government firmly rejects this claim.

Unlike her predecessors, who tried not to mention Taiwan in public speeches to avoid confrontation with China, Takaichi—a close protégé and ideological heir to the late Shinzo Abe—echoed Abe-era rhetoric that “a Taiwan contingency is a Japan contingency.”

It’s not the first time Takaichi has irritated the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) within her first month in office. Two weeks ago, she angered Beijing by sharing a photo of her sidelines meeting with a Taiwanese representative at the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation summit in Seoul earlier this month.

U.S. President Donald Trump has said Xi told him he will not invade Taiwan while the Republican president is in office.

The United States stations 50,000 troops in Japan and 28,500 troops in South Korea. Last Tuesday, when U.S. War Secretary Pete Hegseth was asked at a press conference if U.S. troops in South Korea could be used against China in the Taiwan Strait, Hegseth said he would adopt “strategic flexibility” to pivot rapidly to hotspots.

“There’s no doubt flexibility for regional contingencies is something we would take a look at,” he said.

The reason for tracking knives in China is in part because guns are illegal, so knives are the chosen hand weapon.
But the reasoning is similar to that behind the existence of countless "bollards" all over China, which are supposed to keep people from deliberately driving their vehicles into crowds with the intention of killing them.
(Although like so much there, they are so poorly planned and put together that they are often worse than useless.)
Such attacks especially on children with vehicles and knives are very common in China, as revenge against society.

It's encouraging to see someone (Oliver) who has spent time in China and is willing to share the experience truthfully.
(We had another member living in China a while ago who was posting lots of propaganda about how wonderful the intentional (cult) community was there where she was living, headed by a polygamist who was fathering lots of children on community members. Until she finally escaped to Thailand...)

So thanks to Oliver, and I'm sure I don't need to caution him about staying there if he is going to continue being vocal about what it's really like in China; that being that there may be retribution from the CCP if he gets noticed.
I've often wondered if some of the technical problems the forum has been having is connected to the CCP's insane censorship policies and hacking attacks.
They shouldn't be too upset because very few members seem to be paying attention or responding to the posts I make here about the very dystopian conditions there, which are making China the tragic blueprint for the Clown World of all Clown Worlds.
But possibly there are non-members paying attention because the posts do get "views" even if few to no comments or "likes".
Though I have received thanks from some members privately, and encouragement not to quit just because it seems like the subject is getting so little attention.

If I were Chinese and living in China, I would be doing all I could to get out of there permanently and making sure all my family members did too. If one citizen escapes and begins doing things that the CCP doesn't like, they will hold the escapee's family hostage to make the truthteller quit. Which is probably why not as many people flee as you might think...

It's difficult to imagine a whole country of people becoming so traumatized and dumbed down that most of them are simply incapable of seeing the truth right in front of their eyes.
But easy enough to imagine how they could see the truth and simply be much too frightened to speak it.
Given the huge traumas the people of China have undergone since Mao, and continue to undergo, we can easily see why the novels "1984" and "Brave New World" came about and continue to be cited decades after they were written, and how what they depicted could actually come true.
And IS becoming true right before our eyes, for those who are paying attention.

There are so many threads about so many subjects on the forum many times important posts just seem to go under the radar, but "Breaking News" gets a lot of attention so it gets used for timely issues that members just really want to bring to everyone's attentionm, even if it's not exactly "breaking news".
I am guilty of that myself, and I don't have any solutions to offer.

...being a billionaire doesn't put you beyond the CCPs reach. Nor does living in the USA.

Given my current (likely not well informed) view of the CCP, if I were Chinese, from mainland China, then I would reserve my real take on controversial matters to private moments with long time trusted friends and family, and "speak the party line" right up front in other contexts or with other individuals.

Yes, but...
When you spend enough time watching videos of people in China doing the most ridiculous things imaginable (and I've spent a lot of time doing just that, videos being a lot more informative than words), and realize the extent to which the dumbing down has happened there, it becomes easy to award the booby prizes in accurate order. The idiocy there is on an entirely different scale, including that of the CCP themselves, who are the designers and architects of the mass, monumental stupidity.

(Youtube censored last week's China Show because of the pivotal segment about the brand new bridge that just collapsed in China, though the reason Youtube claimed was because of a seconds long segment that has been on the China Show many times.
(...Of a Chinese woman kicking a male British tourist in a sensitive area).
Though so far, the only episode that Youtube has taken down is the one with the footage of the collapsing bridge.
Lots more about the censorship on social media about China, and especially the CCP's censorship and propaganda, including a spotlight on the CCP's current hostility toward Japan.
