This article describes the USA under Trump today, and just how dangerous that country has become in using force for colonial-style extraction of resources in order to maintain global dominance.

Americans may praise Trump for this strategy, but others may understand and easily see the hypocrisy and how the entire world is threatened. Venezuela had every right to proclaim sovereignty over its natural resources. In so doing, it also claimed ownership of the mining infrastructure, not for oligarchs but for the benefit of the people. This broke the delicate agreements between countries with resources and multi-national companies who extract those resources. Venezuela was forced to pay huge amounts of compensation, decided by the very American companies that were extracting those resources. Americans companies acquire billions for themselves, but refuse to accept risk. Venezuela is a complex story, but what Trump did was kidnap the president and his wife, then steal the oil. What Trump is now imposing on Venezuela is the USA will take over the oil industry and decide what stipend Venezuela will be paid. The social system in Venezuela that guarantees health care, education and housing to every citizen will collapse and the majority of people will descend into abject poverty.

It is a very balanced and informed article. The USA strategy under Trump is laid bare and tells you a lot about the people who are at his side.

Americans are convinced that China is the enemy, and sees China through the lens of its motivations and actions. That is not how China operates in the world. China is a vast country. It has been extracting and processing critical minerals in China for a long time. In the world at large, China has assisted in building infrastructure for mining and processing critical minerals, and the transport routes, while leaving the sovereignty in the hands of those countries and respecting and abiding by their laws.

For those who still believe that Trump is some kind of genius master mind, then here is the 'proof' you need. This is the grand strategy, and it is ugly, and it will be enforced. Trump is not a peacemaker; he is a predatory deal maker. I doubt that removing him as president will fundamentally change this strategy, but Americans may choose to replace him with a president who puts a more 'civilized' face on this strategy. That is what is infuriating the elites in Europe (not Israel ... it relishes being a thieving bully): Trump has torn away the mask of pretence and it makes them uncomfortable (and, they are also subjected to bullying).

As an African, I weep. It is a continent with many countries, countless languages and cultures, and, country by country, it has been moving towards stable governance so that sovereignty serves the people (and not some tin pot dictator). I admire those leaders who are still trying to stay on course*, but weep at those who have bent the knee and allowed the USA to put a boot on the neck of the people.

*Americans believe that the values they sell, such as democracy, are essential for progress and wellbeing, but a 'good' dictatorship or monarchy can do good whereas a multi-party democracy can do a lot of damage. The fundamental guiding principles that international organizations were supposed to uphold are now under threat.

Yes, of course that is true.

The American Revolution was not fought to cause a form of government.

We would have been happy to have had King Washington.

But all of the later European revolutions were about removing monarchy, and this simply made its way to China which did likewise. Yet this did not gain them acceptance.

I, personally, have hardly participated in the "democratic process". The last time I did was in the Obama era, where I voted a straight anti-Republican ticket, except I left the one for President blank. I can't remember what it was, it was something at the state level that irritated me to the point I went to the polls.

Since then, they gerrymandered my state along the lines that would have caused McCain to win that election.

So, I have it mapped out for me in piebald detail. My home area was the hardest hit by the early revocation of federal funds done by Trump II. And so I am informed he hates me or us.

I had no idea I was from an anti-Republican Nemesis, one of the few places Jews did disruptive protests against Zionism. Obviously, I or we hate whatever "all that" is.

Right now I live "over the line", and I have one word for a Republican district:


Dead.


I don't exactly believe in "parties", but the sad fact is the Republican Party is a monolith, and, it is particularly this that must be dissolved. They have generated permanent enmity. It might as well be quiet because it's simply getting turned off.
