One day before the first bombs fell on Iran, the Pentagon designated Anthropic a supply chain risk to national security. The classification is reserved for foreign adversaries. The last company to receive it was Huawei.

The next morning, Anthropic’s Claude, running inside Palantir’s Maven platform on classified military servers, identified and prioritized over a thousand Iranian targets in the first twenty four hours of Operation Epic Fury. What previously required days of human analysis was compressed into hours.

The same artificial intelligence the Defense Secretary tried to ban on Thursday selected the targets his bombers hit on Friday.

That is not a contradiction. That is the architecture of this war. Three nations are building three separate AI kill chains in real time, each shaped by its own constraints, and none of them fully control what they have built.

On the American and Israeli side, Claude works alongside an Israeli system called Lavender that scores individual human targets, a companion called Gospel that generates structural target lists, and a tracker called Where’s Daddy that times strikes for when scored individuals are at known locations. Together they produced roughly nine hundred strike packages before the first sunrise. The speed compresses days of deliberation into hours of machine output. A commander approving targets at that tempo is not conducting the proportionality assessment that international humanitarian law requires. A human signature appears in the record. The deliberation it represents has been structurally eliminated by the velocity of the system presenting the options.

On March 1, an estimated 165 female students were killed in a strike near an IRGC naval base in Minab. Neither the United States nor Israel has claimed responsibility. No AI targeting review has been announced.

On the Iranian side, the AI is primitive and strategically perfect. IRGC drones carry basic computer vision and Chinese BeiDou satellite navigation that resists American jamming, supplied under a twenty five year partnership. A twenty thousand dollar drone with enough machine intelligence to force the expenditure of a fifteen million dollar interceptor. Iran does not need AI that thinks. It needs AI that costs less than the missile that kills it.

Behind both, a third AI actor. MizarVision, a Shanghai satellite company assessed by Western analysts as an intelligence front, published free AI annotated imagery of American military positions before the war began. F-22s in Israel. AWACS in Saudi Arabia. THAAD batteries in Jordan. Iran subsequently struck the THAAD radar at the published coordinates.

The surveillance monopoly that gave American operations a structural advantage for decades was not defeated by a rival space programme. It was eliminated by commercial satellites costing less than a single interceptor.

Three nations. Three AI architectures. America compresses the kill chain from days to hours. Iran compresses the cost of attack below the cost of defense. China compresses the information advantage that made American power projection possible since 1945.

And a school in Minab sits in the gap between machine speed and human accountability, ten years of satellite imagery showing it was a school, and nobody willing to say whose algorithm put it on the list.

An informed official in Iran’s Ministry of Intelligence has warned of what he described as a potential Israeli plan to target Al-Aqsa Mosque in occupied al-Quds in an attempt to blame Iran and resistance movements.

According to the Iranian news agency Tasnim, the official said the alleged plan could involve a false flag operation using drones or missiles aimed at the mosque compound.

The official claimed such an attack could be carried out ahead of al-Quds Day, to incite Arab and Muslim public opinion against Iran and the resistance axis.

Some of this is terribly obvious, but what it means so far is hard to tell.

Claims of hundreds of American casualties are not backed up by anything; it is hard to say that anything other than complete material destruction has happened. Losing all those advanced radars is definitely a pummeling to the pride and salesmanship of those who subjugated the Middle East so far.


The claims of "air superiority" are somewhat true, but not completely, since the B-52 is only launching cruise missiles, and that is probably all it will do:

Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Gen. Dan Caine said during the press briefing that CENTCOM has established localized air superiority across the southern flank of the Iranian coast and penetrated their defenses with overwhelming precision and firepower.

While the U.S. and Israel have largely succeeded in targeting the upper tiers of Iran’s air defense network, the Islamic Republic is likely still in possession of medium-range air defense systems that could threaten B-52 bombers, even more so than faster and smaller fighter jets. This threat will likely remain present for the entirety of the war.

Consequently, Zion is defenseless:

The Israeli military has admitted that US-built Israeli radar systems have been largely unable to intercept incoming Iranian missiles.

According to a report published by the Israeli Haaretz newspaper, Israeli military units have confessed to their failure to intercept and shoot down Iranian missiles headed for the occupied territories.

Additionally, it said that sirens were activated on Friday only a few moments before evacuation orders were sent out to illegal settlers.

In response to mounting criticism of the Israeli army's delayed activation of security alerts, the army said that it cannot determine the duration between alerts and sirens warning of incoming missiles.

Similarly, the command center of the Israeli internal front stated that security alerts, for operational considerations, could be sent to settlers only a short while before the sirens are sounded, or at times not even sent.

Haaretz then cited satellite images, noting that Iran is seeking to target radar systems and strategic military facilities in a bid to render the radars of the US and its allies ineffective.

The newspaper noted that Iran's precision strikes against radar installations will significantly lower Israel's missile interception ability and disturb its quick alert systems.

The revelations come as Israeli media outlets have frequently pointed to the inefficiency of Iron Dome missile systems to confront the volume and velocity of Iranian missiles.

Israeli military experts have warned that the latest generation of Iranian missiles enjoys higher speed, can cruise complicated routes and have very low radar recognition features, which make it a serious challenge for Israeli air defense systems to detect and bring them down.

It's interesting that America can get out of this by simply getting out.

The Public Relations Office of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) announced the start of Wave 26 of Operation True Promise 4, reporting that missiles struck targets from the north to the south of the occupied territories.



The statement from the IRGC Public Relations Office reads as follows: “During Wave 26 of Operation True Promise 4, in a combined drone–missile operation under the sacred code name Ya Heydar Karrar, targets from the north to the south of the occupied territories were precisely hit with new-generation Emad, Ghadr, and multi-warhead Kheibar missiles.



Considering that the enemy’s radar systems were destroyed in previous waves, striking targets has become much easier, and by God’s grace all missiles fired are hitting their designated targets.”

Wow. Okay. As I posted further back on the thread - it's fast moving so it's probably several dozen posts back now - Iran will return the favour and hit desalination plants throughout the entirety of the Saud 'empire' (they have no rivers) and the Emirati; if I remember correctly the statement was something along the lines of (paraphrasing): "Everyone's looking at the oil, but not the water."

Today Iranian FM Araghchi said that the Epstein Coalition attacked the freshwater desalination plant on Qeshm and warned that the criminal move could have “grave consequences.”

Water infrastructure is an extremely sensitive target in the region. Israel receives roughly 75–86% of its potable water from desalination and aims to reach about 90% of total supply. Five major Mediterranean plants produce around 600–700 million cubic meters per year.

The Gulf states are even more dependent. Saudi Arabia gets about 70% of its drinking water from desalination, producing roughly 5 billion cubic meters annually. In the UAE, desalination provides about 42% of total water supply and more than 90% of potable water. Qatar, Kuwait, and Bahrain rely on desalination for roughly 70–90% of their water.

Iran is in a very different position. The country produces roughly 120 million cubic meters of desalinated water annually out of total water use near 100 billion cubic meters, meaning well under 1% nationally. Desalination is concentrated mainly along the southern coast, especially in Hormozgan province, while around 90% of Iran’s water consumption is tied to agriculture.

In other words, Iran has limited dependence on desalination. Israel and the Gulf states do not.

This could get really ugly.

Israel’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has issued a warning to members of Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, saying they are 'in Israel’s sights' and urging them to lay down their weapons.

In a televised statement, Netanyahu claimed Israel’s actions could remove what he described as a global nuclear threat and expand regional peace. He also accused Iran of attacking several countries in the region and said many states were now seeking closer cooperation with Israel.
