Vedomosti reports that Moscow faced one of its largest drone attacks ever overnight, with Mayor Sergei Sobyanin saying 613 drones were directed towards the capital and surrounding region.

The attack coincided with the Russia–Africa Forum, which is being attended by African leaders and thousands of delegates. Flights were temporarily restricted at three Moscow airports, while Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov described the timing as particularly strange.

More on satellites here, and I found it very interesting. Elon had recently posted on X, and this is a neat critique of that:

Source: (Translated from Russian) Oleg Tsarov
«Destroying Starlink satellites could trigger a chain reaction of collisions in orbit, and the massive cloud of debris could render near-Earth space unusable for operations,» Elon Musk wrote about the threat to Starlink satellites.

In reality, things are a bit different.

The smallest tactical nuclear warhead is about 10 tons in TNT equivalent. If detonated in orbit, it would only disable the nearby satellite. There would be almost no debris.

The key issue here is creating a precedent. The world will see that satellites can be switched off.

I think negotiations with Russia will begin at this stage already. Or more likely—even earlier, during the preparation phase. Classified information suspiciously quickly ends up in Western media.

With a powerful warhead, the story is different. There’s no air in space, which means no shockwave. X-rays and gamma radiation only strike those nearby. The main force is electrons. Earth’s magnetic field captures them, and they start spiraling around the Earth at the explosion’s altitude. A kind of shell forms around the planet.

A satellite entering it begins to die slowly. Radiation doesn’t destroy electronics right away, but it does so steadily. Ten times the normal level of electrons—and a device designed for five years will last six months. A thousand times more—and it’ll burn out in a day.

The U.S. military has already run the numbers on this scenario. An explosion of 10 kilotons at 150 km above Japan. Immediately, 5–10% of satellites in direct line of sight would be destroyed. The rest would be finished off by the radiation belt. The Hubble telescope, instead of 15 years, would last a few months. Globalstar and Orbcomm communication satellites—5 months instead of 7 years. And a replacement launched three months later wouldn’t even survive eight.

What’s more, the U.S. has tested this scenario. On July 9, 1962, the Americans detonated the Starfish Prime warhead over Johnston Atoll—1.4 megatons at 400 km altitude. There were 24 satellites in orbit at the time. At least eight were affected, including our Cosmos-5. The world’s first commercial communications satellite, Telstar, was launched the next day. It operated for seven months.

For me, this isn’t an abstract topic. Radiation resistance of semiconductors was my research at MISiS. Our 11th group was created in response to the U.S. SDI program—back when the USSR and U.S. were preparing for “Star Wars.” We were tasked with developing electronics that could withstand a nuclear explosion. They recruited those who aced physics. The rector himself was our curator, and I was the group leader.

And the deeper we dug, the clearer it became: such electronics are impossible to create. What space wars, if one explosion takes out nearly all satellites? Star Wars are unfeasible.

The scale of damage can be controlled by altitude and yield. A thermonuclear warhead produces the most electrons. It could disable nearly everything in low orbits, but it’s not permanent: electrons collide with the atmosphere, lose energy, and the belt dissipates—over months, sometimes years.

Let me emphasize again: Musk is wrong. Satellites won’t shatter into pieces. They’ll age rapidly. First, the electronics will fail, then they’ll simply stop working and turn into flying rocks.

Let’s do the math. We have about 400 satellites. The U.S. has around 13,000, over 11,000 of which are Starlink. Clearly, the United States would suffer the greatest losses. But we’d lose some too. At the same altitude, around 500 km, the first three dozen Rassvet satellites orbit—our answer to Starlink.

And the indirect damage to America would exceed the direct. SpaceX stock would crash and drag down the inflated bubble of digital companies. Everyone knows it’s inflated. Everyone knows it’ll burst. The only question is when. Then comes a global crisis. A single downed satellite could be the trigger.

The treaty banning the placement of nuclear weapons in space and their detonation there was signed by Russia in Moscow in 1963. But remember how many promises the West has made and broken.

What we do know for sure is that without Starlink, the West will lose in Ukraine. And under the threat of losing satellites, it’ll come to the negotiating table. I’m not calling to blow up a U.S. satellite right now.

Israeli-linked Container ship "CONTSHIP JET" was struck this morning by a Russian USV in the Black Sea.

The ship was loaded with cargo from Haifa.

The vessel, part of the Ukrainian "shadow fleet" and carrying 421 containers with cargo, was sailing under the flag of Liberia from Israel's Haifa to the Romanian port of Constanța!
And what does Israel supply to the Nazis of Ukraine?! Matzah?!🤦‍♀️

Ukrainian air-defence shoots down a Russian drone over Dnipro station killing 14 people

One isn't sure whether this is gross incompetence, deliberate, or just a tragic mistake. Given the Kiev government forces behaviour and track record (no pun) over the last nearly five years I'd suspect deliberate

And another piece of footage from rescued sailors who apparently state that they were carrying a valuable and dangerous cargo. There are no subtitles but I'm inclined to trust the source here:

Unconditional Acceptance: Putin’s New Terms Stun Europe

    Video length 34:21

The UK appears to be pushing for war more than the rest of the EU atm and not interested in negotiating peace. What a disgrace and I hope that this will be borne in mind if there's a military draft further down the line.

"Putin's 90 minute call with Finland's Alexander Stubb and Norway's Jonas Gahr Støre went nowhere, and the Kremlin readout now demands unconditional acceptance of Russia's terms. In this episode we break down why Stubb is angling to become Europe's chief negotiator, why London spun a false Financial Times story, and why the push for a Ukraine ceasefire on current lines keeps hitting a wall. With Witkoff, Kushner and Dmitriev floating Arctic and energy deals, who is really stringing who along?

    The Duran: Episode 2661
00:00:00 Putin's call with Stubb and Støre; Norway refutes the FT
00:01:16 UK sources working to block diplomacy
00:02:47 Frederiksen and EU hardliners furious over the call
00:03:47 Stubb and Støre refloat the old Donbas proposal
00:04:53 Putin demands unconditional acceptance of Russia's terms
00:06:06 Why the call happened; Finland's growing concerns
00:07:23 Stubb's bid to be Europe's chief negotiator

00:24:12 Why not von der Leyen or Kaja Kallas?
00:27:23 Arctic deals, energy talks and the sanctions reality

    🅰pocalypsis 🅰pocalypseos 🇷🇺 🇨🇳 🅉

Sergey Glazyev: The war in Ukraine is part of a five-phase Brzezinski strategy to break up Eurasia. Phase one was the 2014 coup. Phase two was separating Europe from Russia, including the Nord Stream bombings. Phases three, four and five—regime change in Russia, the destruction of Iran, and the isolation of China—all failed.

“I see the war in Ukraine as part of the strategy. The American administration till now has used the Brzezinski strategy, which has five phases. The first phase is to create an anti-Russian state in Ukraine. They did this by means of the Maidan and coup d’état in 2014. The second phase was to take Europe away from Russia. They did this a little bit later, including bombing and the collapse of the pipelines in the Baltic Sea. Then the third phase was to organize a revolution in Russia and to bring to power a regime that would be under Western control. This phase failed. The fourth phase, according to the Brzezinski plan, was to ruin Iran. This phase failed as well. And the final phase, the fifth phase, was to isolate China.

So this was a five-stage plan, but it was not realistic. It failed, and it had to fail. They did what they could do, just create war in Europe. So the war in Europe was created not by Russia, not by Ukraine. It was created by the Americans and the Western deep state, which was trying to implement the Brzezinski plan. Today it doesn’t work. Trump understands this.

By the way, Europe was the main loser in this war. Of course, the worst position is Ukraine and the Ukrainian people. They lost their homes; they lost their country, in fact. So, of course, Ukraine became the victim of this Western strategy. But Europe was the loser. And Europe now has a huge economic crisis without Russian commodities, and energy prices in Europe are the highest in the world. Productivity is much lower than in China. So it has no chance to survive, and Americans are trying to use the situation in Europe—the American elite, I mean—to take again, as it happened in the 20th century during the wars in Europe, capital and brain drain from Europe to the United States.

It certainly happens, but not in such large amounts as to benefit the United States. So today the main driving force of Ukrainian war is Europe corruption because corrupted Zelinsky regime is the part of corrupted European political regime. I think, according to some estimates, that about one-third of the money which Europe give to Ukraine comes back in bribes for European politicians. By the way, Musk says this openly and as far as Musk uses the satellite system, he knows everything .”

    Exclamation Re: WW3? Ukraine/US vs. Donbass/Russia

    source
    • Press conference: Ukraine as a pawn in a NATO proxy war from which the banking elite and the military-industrial complex profit
Canadian aid to Ukraine — which has now risen to over 26 billion dollars — is also under intense scrutiny. On Thursday, peace organizations and Ukrainian-Canadian citizens gathered on Parliament Hill in Ottawa to say aloud what is rarely heard in the mainstream media: the money disappears into a black hole of corruption, and the ordinary Ukrainian pays the price with their life.
    • Who actually benefits from this war?
Tamara Lorenz, senior researcher at Canadian Voice of Women for Peace, did not mince words during the press conference . According to her, the conflict in Ukraine is at its core not a sovereign struggle, but a proxy war being waged by NATO using Ukraine as an instrument against Russia. The Western banking elite and the military-industrial complex benefit most from the ongoing conflict, while hundreds of thousands of Ukrainians and Russians are dying, she said.

    • Ukraine: one of the most corrupt countries in the world
A member of the Ottawa Peace Council revealed during the press conference that the salaries of Ukrainian soldiers are being systematically pocketed by senior military officers. Moreover, young Ukrainians are being plucked off the streets and forcibly sent to the front — a form of forced recruitment that differs little from kidnapping. These statements are not unfounded. Transparency International consistently ranks Ukraine as one of the most corrupt countries in Europe. Western governments are aware of this, yet continue to keep the money taps open. The question peace organizations are therefore asking is simple: why is there a complete lack of serious oversight regarding the spending of Canadian tax money in a country with such a track record?

    source
    • 26 billion dollars — and no independent oversight
Since the outbreak of the conflict, Canada has funneled a combination of financial resources and military equipment worth more than 26 billion dollars to Ukraine. That is a gigantic sum, funded by the Canadian taxpayer. Peace organizations are calling on the Carney administration and Parliament to provide transparency regarding this. They demand a transparent and independent investigation.
    • Canadian citizens deserve answers
Canadian aid to Ukraine is not free — every dollar flowing to Kyiv is a dollar that does not go to Canadian healthcare, education, or infrastructure. Peace organizations believe that citizens have the right to know what happens to their money. That is not a radical demand, but a democratic minimum requirement. Anyone who dares to ask where the money is risks being branded a Moscow sympathizer. But that framing is precisely what critical citizens and independent media should expose.
