Jerry, that is good progress. Did I mention that your dreaming life was about to become quite a bit more robust? lol...
Good onya!! Sometimes it will be a clear dream, others it will be vague memory fragments,, other times it will be just dialogue racing on and on... Every time that you lay there are remember them, you are increasing your ability to readily recall them. You are working with the memory function. Also, you are working at becoming more lucid on all fronts. Amazing what a journal can do.... Now, each time that you lay back down from writing in your journal,, try and hit the 'eye trigger', and see if it feels 'rigid' or 'loose'.. Meaning, does it feel like it is responding with warm spreading energy, or is it not responding at all?? Each time that you wake up and try again,, you are conditioning yourself to recognize and maintain deeper and deeper trance states... Even if you end up falling asleep, you are improving your range... Also, you are reprogramming your first waking thoughts to be more 'observant' of the shifts between sleep and wakefulness.. I am thrilled that you have decided to 'go the distance'... Regarding your dream about the ObE... I have said before that many of our OBEs will be remembered via the dreaming mind, or the dreaming states.. Admittedly,, sometimes it is a regular dream about an OBE...Posted by jerry (here)
What a evening last night! From what I can tell no OBE remembered, but the dreams were numerous, it was as though as soon as I dozed off I was dreaming. I awoke frequently recording at least half a dozen different dreams and what I remembered of them, as most seemed sketchy at best.Which is perfectly fine because as you get better at trance work, your 'lucidity' within the dream-worlds will also increase.. A becoming lucid in a dream about flying or being out of body may just thrust you into an ObE too. It has happened to me lots of times.. I've been a 'fly on the wall' and observed as my dreaming mind dreamed, and my astral body walked around the room,, seemingly, on its own... (mind split,, yes) But it was all integrated and very fluid. The abstract dreaming mind was experiencing the OBE, though only as a dream,, and the astral counterpart would become confused a bit as it was experiencing the dreaming mind... Integration of ALL aspects an 'modes of thinking self',, is something to begin to consider, at least for the reason of trying to NOT be confused by 'fragmented' experiences.. Try and understand that the way in which our waking mind holds and stores memories,, and how our waking minds RECALL those memories is completely limited,, and is perfectly willing to ignore/deject 'memory types' from the type of memory that we retain during and OBE, (or a dream, for that matter.).. Basic meditation, energy work and a journal.... These are powerful tools to open us up wide, with regards memory and memory recall... I have a hard time with 'just a dream'... Though, I am biased...
Many more implications here that 'just a dream'.. The initial OBE state that you find yourself in is an exact duplicate of the 'real' world, just a bit out of phase and, or course, an energetic copy (template,, which ever you prefer).. The passing of time will be the same.. At least for the first say, couple of minutes... You will be perfectly able to experience the passing of moments in the way that you normally do.. Admittedly, this will not last as the ObE has a tendency to slip into much less dense states of being... Robert Bruce called this initial ObE state the RTZ. Real Time Zone,, Specifically because there was a 'real time' feel to it... Also, if it is dark outside it will be dark in the ObE... Vision is a reflection of you, in the astral,, and if you want to 'see',, then of course you can.. Just because it is dark outside, doesn't mean that you won't be able to 'see'... When you project in the afternoon, or sometime during the middle of the day when the sun is still out, then the ObE takes on a completely different 'feel' than during the night.. It is obvious in the ObE that there is more light.. It is much more fun, there are more people out and about,, there is nothing 'painted' into the astral by folks who are sleeping and having bad dreams.. It is a very different experience in that much of the fear will not be there either... Generally, if it is dark outside (and everyone else is sleeping) then the ObE will have a much different 'nightly' feel to it... Remember the 'feel' of walking during the 'witching hour'. Then remember the feel of a walk at noon. Very different!Posted by jerry (here)
One was peculiar in the fact that I dreamed I was having an OBE. I preceded to walk outside. I want to say through the wall. There was no familiarity in the surroundings in the dream and was during the day, and the fact it was at night(real time) seems to confirm this was a dream .The passing of moments seem the same.. Getting past this initial astral 'locale' will be easy and natural too... Some projectors never spend a single moment in RTZ.... Go figure...
Most likely you were engaging the dreaming states all night. The ObE dream was a bit more, methinks.. But try and remember that being aware of vibrations and/or paralysis is NOT required for OBE... Though very very very common...Posted by jerry (here)
There was no vibrations or paralysis, I recall, and the other dreams of the night were not as lucid as the 1st ( the obe )
Also,, when I am doing daily energy work and meditations, and reeeeaaalllyyy concentrating and studying (like I am now, and so are you,,) I still do not project every night, (that I recall). It can be frustrating... My frequency, or 'batting average' increases and I project about twice a week, on average... So don't get too frustrated with yourself if you don't project right away, or you can't muster the 'vibrations'... It is like fishing,, do all the right things and then when you get a 'bite',,, grab the reigns and go!!
Sounds to me like you are doing all of the right things. A burning desire to project will come in handy too... You already have that, methinks..
Keep us updated, Jerry..
Jake.
