Why Are the Fish and Birds Only Dying In Western Friendly Nations?
    LUCUS 01/09/2011 3:41PM CST

There is something strange going on and the pun is fully intended when I say that something smells fishy.

Birds dying by the thousands, tons and tons of dead fish washing up on the shores, strange unexplained missile launches...what's it all mean?

So, as the list of nations grows that have been affected by this phenomenon a certain pattern emerges. Notice it?

There have been no bird and fish kills in Russia and only a small kill of Eagles in China? Eagles...really? The Eagle is a symbol of the United States, the country that seems to be sustaining the biggest hit. How symbolic that only Eagles would fall in China.

Here is a Google map that lays out the bird/fish kills. Notice a lack of activity in China and Russia? Notice how America seems to be getting slammed? How about the fact that all the countries that seem to be affected are Western friendly?

    Story continued with videos...

Funny you mention that, just this afternoon I questioned my souls sanity for taking on this mission - even as a kid I didn't like it here, thought everything was out of whack then..what was I thinking?!?!

Anyway, birds are falling from the sky, fish are dying and now you can add to it they're hearing sonic booms and weird sounding thunderstorms in Indiana! It's going to be a bizarre year, glad you're back for the ride!

The following youtube was posted by "whitelightbringer" (interesting name dont you think...) and depicts the speed at which a flash flood can become overwhelming and is yet another display of natures power.

The video was featured in the Sydney Morning Herald.

Check out the 4x4 driver locking his front hubs before making a getaway, as you can see not very many cars made it.

Dead birds, fish and rattling ground; could they be caused by hydraulic fracturing? The number of earthquakes that have shaken Guy, Arkansas has risen from an estimated 179 quakes per year to over 600 in 2010, according to the Arkansas Geographical Survey (AGS). Nearly 500 earthquakes hit Guy in the last four months. The state of Arkansas registered only 38 quakes in 2009.

Theorists believe that there is a correlation between the spike in earthquakes and the New Year’s Eve raining of dead birds and the incidence of deceased fish in the Arkansas River. They also believe that hydraulic fracturing is quite possibly the culprit in all three phenomenon. Fracturing or fracking causes earthquakes and releases toxins into the environment. Fracking is a global practice. Could it be that the other wildlife floundering around the world is somehow connected?

The South Eastern US is having unheard of snowfall:
    http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20110111/...winter_weather

I called to check in with my Dad last night and where he lives they have 7 inches of snow, which is the most he has ever seen. HAving only lived in that area since the 1980's - he asked around amongst the 'old timers" ( my Dad is a youngster at 84) and they told him that they couldn't ever recall so much snow. The other unusual thing is that it will be sticking around a few days.

    Interesting article...

“Thousands of scientists will meet in Melbourne in mid-2011 to discuss the state of the Earth,” according to CSIRO’s Dr Tom Beer, the first Australian to be elected President of the International Union of Geodesy and Geophysics (IUGG).

“Scientists from around the world working on issues of sustainability will exchange information at the IUGG General Assembly,” Dr Beer said. “They will discuss issues affecting our climate and atmosphere, water resources and oceans, volcanoes and polar regions, and earthquakes and tsunamis.”

Authorities are urging people to stay calm as Brisbane and Ipswich prepare for unprecedented flooding over the next two days.

Heavy rain, releases from the giant Wivenhoe Dam and high tides will combine to cause major flood peaks in both cities in the next couple of days, with river levels rising above the historic 1974 floods.

A major snowstorm that paralyzed much of the South is expected to hit the Northeast on Tuesday, possibly dumping more than a foot of snow in regions still digging out from recent storms.

The National Weather Service issued a winter storm watch for New York City from Tuesday evening through Wednesday afternoon, calling for the city and its suburbs to get between 6 and 12 inches. Forecasters also predicted up to 8 inches in Philadelphia, while parts of Massachusetts could see 18 inches.

Residents to be evacuated as Mt. Anak Krakatau spews ash

The South Lampung Disaster Mitigation Agency (BPBD) is set to evacuate tens of thousands of residents in seven districts in the regency following continuous volcanic ash emissions from Mount Anak Krakatau over the past several days.

South Lampung BPBD head Abdul Shomad said his office had coordinated with the Lampung provincial administration, Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency and the Mount Anak Krakatau observation station in Hargopancuran village in South Lampung.

“We have taken anticipatory measures because ash continues to flow, while the seismograph used to monitor Mount Anak Krakatau could not provide data on its activities. This has caused fear among residents,” said Shomad on Monday.

Flooding in Rio de Janeiro state claims scores of lives

Quote More than 80 people have died in towns near Rio de Janeiro as heavy rains continue to cause flooding and mudslides in south-eastern Brazil.

Overnight downpours triggered landslides in the mountain town of Teresopolis, where more than 50 were reported to have died.

At least three firefighters were among several people buried in mudslides in Nova Friburgo.

Brazil has seen severe flooding this year which has left thousands homeless.

The death toll is expected to climb as rescuers reach remote villages in the mountains. One report, compiling official and media figures, put the toll so far at 93.

This week, torrential rains in neighbouring Sao Paulo state left 13 people dead and brought traffic chaos to Brazil's biggest city.

In Teresopolis, 100km (62 miles) north of Rio Janeiro, a river burst its banks, submerging buildings, while the rainfall set off several mudslides.

"It's a huge catastrophe, a major disaster," Teresopolis Mayor Jorge Mario told Globo television.

He said about another 50 people were still missing.

TV footage showed homes destroyed and cars submerged.

Hi Kra - it was suspected to be a prank.
"Ministry staff believe the cause of the coloring is a water-tracing dye used in the testing of sanitary water systems,” said Environment Ministry spokesman Dan Gilmore Wednesday evening.

Two samples will be reviewed Thursday and the ministry considers the incidents to be vandalism, he said.

If the green colouring is confirmed to be water-testing dye, it is not known to be harmful to fish and wildlife."

January 12, 2011 - The flooding picture across the globe has worsened over the last 24 hours. The Great Barrier Reef is now threatened by the extensive flooding inundating Australia. Jon Brodie told CNN News, "These are extraordinary events. The whole of the inner-shore reef lagoon filled with river water," says Jon Brodie, Principle Researcher for the James Cook University's Australian Center for Tropical Freshwater Research. Mass evacuations are occurring in Brisbane as rivers continue to swell in Australia's 3rd largest city. In the Philippines, the death toll from flooding has risen to 40 and more rain is in the forecast. In Sri Lanka, the death toll from flooding has hit 18.

January 13, 2011 - “Two tropical cyclones are churning the tropical waters of the Southern Hemisphere as of Wednesday. Tropical Cyclone Vania has spun up near the South Pacific island nation of Vanuatu. The center was within 125 miles, or 200 km, of Port-Vila, Vanuatu. Having highest sustained winds of 50 mph, Vania was nearly stationary with a sluggish drift towards the southwest. Vania’s greatest threat, rather than Vanuatu, is to the island of New Caledonia, which it could strike directly with hurricane gusts and flooding rain as early as Friday. Meanwhile, far to the west, Tropical Cyclone Vince whirls over open seas well off northwestern Australia. The location of Vince is about 750 miles, or 1200 km, west-northwest of Port Hedland, Australia.” -Accuweather

January 13, 2011 - “Starting on the late evening (about 21.00 GMT) of 11 January 2011, a slight increase in the volcanic tremor amplitude has been recorded by the INGV-CT seismic network, which reached a peak at 07:00 on 12 January. During the early morning of this day, the source of the tremor was observed to shift from its previous location to the north of the Northeast Crater toward the Southeast Crater. These variations have been accompanied by the resumption of weak eruptive activity within the pit crater located on the eastern flank of the Southeast Crater cone, as observed already during the day of 11 January, and which gradually increased in intensity during the early morning of today. As of 08:45 GMT this morning, the activity continues to be rather weak, without any emission of volcanic ash, whereas dense emission of gas and vapor is observed at the other summit craters of Etna. On the evening of 12 January, Strombolian activity continued from the active vent within the pit crater; during the afternoon and evening the volcanic tremor amplitude had continued to increase. Shortly after 21:00, lava that had accumulated within the pit crater started to overflow on its low eastern rim, feeding a lava flow that advanced toward the western wall of the Valle del Bove. It is possible that the ongoing activity is producing volcanic ash.” -INGC Italia

January 12, 2011 - PORT ALLEN, La. — “A virus has killed millions of crickets raised to feed pet reptiles and those kept in zoos. The cricket paralysis virus has disrupted supplies to pet shops across North America as a handful of operators have seen millions of their insects killed. Some operations have gone bankrupt and others have closed indefinitely until they can rid their facilities of the virus. Cricket farms started in the 1940s as a source of fish bait, but the bulk of sales now are to pet supply companies, reptile owners and zoos, although people also eat some. The virus had swept through European cricket farms in 2002. It was first noticed in 2009 in the U.S. and Canada. The virus marks the latest in a recent series of mass animal deaths. ” -MSNBC

Presidential adviser on Social Aid and Disaster, Andi Arief, said in a statement that 662 earthquakes occurred along 2010. As for earthquakes whose magnitudes are above 5 on the Richter scale, they shook the country 602 times. November saw the most frequent earthquakes by 110 times. Meanwhile, as for earthquakes stronger than 6 on the Richter scale, they rattled the archipelago 53 times. At least earthquakes above 7 on the Richter scale of strength hit the nation seven times. In 2009, 465 earthquakes rocked the nation, provided 4 earthquakes at more than 7 on the Richter scale in intensities.” -VNews

Quote Fisheries officials are investigating the death of hundreds of snapper washed up on Coromandel Peninsula beaches. Beachgoers at Little Bay and Waikawau Bay found the fish - many with their eyes missing - dead on the sand yesterday. Aucklander James Hughes, who was visiting friends, said they were sitting around when children in their group ran towards them holding fish. "We said, 'Where'd you get them?' and they said they just started floating up to the beach." Mr Hughes and others on the beach began walking towards the spot where the fish had washed up, and found many dead fish in the water too. "We spoke to boaties coming in and they said there was a carpet of them floating in the water." A Department of Conservation official told Mr Hughes fish in the Coromandel area were starving because of weather conditions. "That's just completely untrue. This was something deliberate and it's just wrong," Mr Hughes said. Ministry of Fisheries official Brendon Mikkelsen said the fish had been in the water for at least 12 hours and would be unsafe to eat. Last night, another ministry official said the matter was being investigated. It would be illegal to deliberately dump snapper, but there could be an innocent explanation, such as a net splitting.

In every continet in the world flooding has become a catastophe of before unseen proportions. I am in great mourning for the over 450 people who have lost their lives in my home state of Rio de Janeiro in Brasil in the last few days. Too many innocent people are dying, this makes me very sad.
