I wish my almost 16 year old son was as helpful and supportive with me as her (9eagles) 16 year old daughter is of her. These two say, "I love you" at least once a day to each other. Simply put, 9eagle is a very kind and giving person.

I will say that I did not raise my son.
IMHO it is the parents job to give support to the child. Not the other way around.
    Very good.

Hey W4C, yeh you made a mistake alright, getting caught up in the same kind of con that got you the last time you posted about this kind of circumstance, someone coming to your door with a hard-luck story. I submit that if you lived in a poor white neighborhood with a lot of meth and crack fiends around, you would still be approached by people trying to con you. I submit, again, that it is not race, but economic circumstance. Fiends seem to have a "6th sense" for what they call marks. They can see if you have a kind soul in your eyes, demeanor and of course they can hear it in your voice.

Your fighting back in this instance is so commendable and yet such a shame that you would even have to do it. I'm glad you're ok. I would recommend you watching the eyes next time anybody gives you a hard-luck story. Watch the eyes and watch the demeanor, are they shuffling around, hands always busy? This will be the same no matter the race of the perpetrator.

You mentioned a law-suit above, is it against the city or the property-owner? It would not be totally out of bounds for either to send folks to 'scare' you but if you were leaving (for good or not) that makes little sense, as breaking in and destroying your home would have resulted in an easier and more effective way of scaring you than sending someone to either succeed or fail in "tricking" you into falling for their hard-luck story.

You brought the hammer down. Blessings, and hope you're still able to go on your trip.
    Rahkyt,

Thanks for your blessings. I did the trip and now I am recovering.

    The Lawsuit:

A year ago I was notified by the tax board that I owed them thousands of dollars for not paying taxes on money I was recieving. Turns out my husband's partner had embezzeled almost a million dollars from me in the last ten years. He got caught that he was so greedy that he did not want to pay taxes on the money he kept. I have spent a year getting information because I did a law suit ten years ago and I learn from my mistakes. One of the things I learned is that you do all the research on the case and essentially know it and understand it before you start. Your lawyer is in it for the money not justice for you. He makes money by doing things or not doing things that may or may not be in your interest. Failing to understand that the lawyer works for you and follows your instructions, has you both at cross purposes. Preparing the case and taking it to a lawyer --- you decide by his response to the case you lay out whether or not you want to hire him. This is a RICO, financial case, and has to be on contingency and one of the things I decided is to take 25 to 40% of whatever I recover to the lawyer. The bigger the firm supposedly the more powerful but they will get 40%, they will get paid no matter what and they have no incentive to finish this thing which at 68 is an issue.

Now you could say the universe handed me this thing so I could be hammered for some karma or maybe the universe chose someone so strong and so tenacious that a fight for justice could be observed. One of the other things I will do is try to sell this story to one of the columnists of the LA Times. I am not capable of writing this well enough but it is an illustration of what has happened to this country when fraud has become a legitimate business function and the indifference to it if it is not your personal problems part of the reason the country is collapsing.
    Beware the axis of sanctimony.

The part about you wishing your son would support you.

Actually, I had just decided to remove the post, since it is probably not helpful. And it was probably triggered by my own buttons, growing up with a father at a distance.

Thank you for doing a reflective post that indicates you think about the why and how of your responses. And I think sharing that honestly is a big deal and I appreciate your doing it.

You just summed up the dilemma between living the life of the mystic and maintaining a relationship with higher reality,
or living the life of the revolutionary who wants to make the world a better place.
I thought I had found the answer but then it slipped away again.
    It keeps doing that, somehow.
One thing I learnt from the Bahai teachings, though:
"Avoid anger, as thou wouldst a lion."
So I take the issues as far as I can, doing my best,
learning from mistakes, then leave the rest to the higher powers.
Explaining that to others often makes them annoyed and they start calling me names.
I'm here to learn not to let that faze me.

My language usage was not a clear as it might have been. I was indicating the mutual support that I saw in action. My son has an excuse for any request made of him. He is a poor team player. A good son with some current bad habits. Addictive game playing is one of them. Since I did not raise him, his mother moved away with him when he was 5 months old, it is a little uncomfortable for me to say anything. I do not wish to criticize his mother. We all do what we think is right. It is the hindsight that is so much better. LOL

One day you will tell me how you discovered this, because it is true.
Life-changing and empowering breakthrough for me.
After I discovered that's how everything works once the inner life is integrated
I started meeting others who could do it, too.
Actually, Avalon is full of such people which is why I'm still here.
    Never a dull moment.

Here is a place to express all that pent-up #$%.
    It's rant time.
Music came up with the expression and I grabbed that ball and am running with it.
All in honor of 9eagle9. (She'll be BAACK, I promise)
I have to ask ulli. Music's expression was most certainly an insult, and directed squarely at 9eagle9. So unless I'm mistaken, which I hope I am, this thread title strikes me more as sticking pins in a 9eagle9 voodoo doll, not actually honoring her. Am I way off base here?

    Cheers,
    Fred
I know you know this Fred, but ... my role is to speak my truth, how other people deal with that has absolutely zero to do with me. My words were ...

Quote Toughness is a tool to be employed rarely as deemed necessary by the individual heart, not the daily hammer with which we pound home whatever version of reality we think is the right one.
This is not an insult, merely how it is. It could, however, be taken as an insult, it could be taken as a finger pointing at deficiencies in my own awareness, or it could be taken as an invitation to effect positive change within. There is no judgement, which ever way the comment is taken is all the same to me.

Quote There is not a shred of objective evidence found in any personal testimony.

Most of the discussions in the 'General Discussion' Forum were intended to be objective in content. That forum was provided to discuss 'real' evidence and present such.

'REAL EVIDENCE'---- objective observations by a human that writes the 'observation' in a document/report/printed in a book............................Whos to say whether this human who takes 'physical' evidence and EXPRESSES his/her spin on it is any more valid?

To me the lines are blurred if one really breaks it down its--- HUMANS expressing what they experience and see..whether its been published in a book or spoken by the tongue, VALIDITY is ANYONES GUESS SERIOUSLY

It takes ALL of our observations COMBINED to add weight to a subject----------------THOSE WHO ARE MAKING THINGS UP KNOW WHO THEY ARE

I mean this as a serious debate...i think its difficult to draw the lines of whats valid and what isnt?
Great to read this hot on the heels of Rahkt's "I wanna bring the hammer on those who are always preaching scientific objectivity".

There is no truth to be found in a physical reality. What we have here (besides a failure to communicate) are hypotheses that are yet to be unproved. Any scientist who does not concur with that remark is a pretend scientist. That's just the way it is. Proof is for those who fear.

By the way, smash the TV - it will feel great.

I really couldn't muster the energy to reply to purple lamas comment, but I must say, you have done a most excellent job. Nobody hates the eagle here, except, I would dare say, herself. Attacking others and being verbosely profligate with one's opinions are the classic signs of a lack of self love.

A warning - Magic 101 - anyone who attempts ANY kind of energetic manipulation will get bitten on the arse unless their intent is pure and selfless. You may still get teeth in your cheeks if that is the best outcome for you.

    You've got to be kidding!
Why would anyone allow her to take such power over them.
You need to go back to school and learn how to defend yourself
    on multidimensinal levels
and any other plane you hang out in.

(and please take the work 'you' in a nonpersonal way, Im talking to those she got the best of or tried to get the best of though her beligigerance)

9e9 met her limit here. She got canned. she has anger that she is not dealing with. she projects her anger on others to no great avail.
If you got trapped in her anger web, you can ignore her, you can react with anger, you can react with feelings of low self esteem, guilt, shame, you can react with centered consciousness...
but her mode of operation turned into anger . Shes got deep issues she hasn't resolved

she thinks shes got to take a hammer to people to wake them up
but that is a abusive approach
she doesnt know how to make any other approach effective.

and her attachments to outcome rule her.. she has to have you see it her way
cause she beleives her way is the only right way, which of courese makes you wrong,
your experience wrong, your path of learing wrong, your whole existence based on wrongness.

So she gets pissed off and takes out her hammer and slams you.

Did it feel good? Did it help? Did you learn? Are you healed?
    are you transformed?

Its like an abusive parent who kicks a kid because he doesnt really know how to love a kid, teach a kid, allow a kid to 'be' into its own evolution.

Voodoo only works on those who are not energetically evovled and who dont have their chakra system working in unison.
She couldnt touch me with a 10 foot pole.

Dont get me wrong, 9e9, she's a very smart lady.. quick with words, can weave a tale, a good talker...
but the person she's been hurting most is herself for she feels self justified to be angry and to project it out to the world
    to teach em all.

Good greif, Thank god some where were bright enough to try to call her on it or I would have lost all hope for this forum.

I never did confront her on the treads she took over. I did warn her once that her anger would get the best of her but she came back to me with a defence for her abusiveness.
Oh well. It was a battle I had no interest in really, at least to get involved in the heat of it. This is for those who felt she took liberties in their direction, either collectively or personally.

I hope you checked your own eye before posting that, because in my experience, people who use that expression often don't, but should have.

This is completely, utterly hilarious but I could swear I just read 9eagle9 typing through someone else's fingers...

Extreme case of the story about straws and beams sticking out of eyes.

This thread could have its own mascot...
Choice is between hamster and squirrel.
Hammy the hamster is my choice.

I just heard from Richard Gere and he gives a big thumbs up for the hamster idea.
Ah, so that's how he got it out!

Not to piss off the OBVIOUS CLIQUE within the Avalon forum. And they know who they are too....
Who the clique are is not clicking with me. I guess I am with the oblivious clique. LOL
Paranoia? or feeling of Guilt (collective or /and personal)?

    http://psychcentral.com/blog/archive...ng-with-guilt/

    I specially recommend 3rd one
    One question, Levent tonga.
    Hope you don't mind.

If one is oblivious, how then can one feel guilt?
He was guessing then there is some kind of awareness. If you are oblivious at something you can not guess, The guessing needs a clue, or clues. Clues might contain anything (even feelings.)
