It is becoming increasingly clear that Israel and the US are setting the stage for a wide scale war in Lebanon.

Already set in 1947.


The Red Sea is similar:

Iranian Defense Minister Brigadier General Mohammad Reza Ashtiani downplayed US push to establish an international naval force in the Red Sea to protect merchant shipping, warning no one can maneuver in a region which Tehran dominates.

"There is no room in the region for outsiders to establish a presence and maneuver,” Brig. Gen. Ashtiani said Thursday.

The minister expressed confidence that the US would never carry out such a “foolish” act because it would cause tremendous problems.

“All countries are present in the region, but this region is ours, and we dominate it,” he stressed.

NATO for Ukraine and international coalition for Israel...hah.

If he says that, he probably has something he can shoot it with. Not hesitating to shoot Americans in Syria, I am sure he would do the same for the Red Sea. It just sounds ominous like that.


How are they going to do anything with this headful of sorry notions in summary from 3,100 pages:

Senate lawmakers on Thursday approved a historically unprecedented military budget, with the White House getting its way on increasing defense spending to levels unparalleled in peacetime in spite of the US’ growing Jenga tower of national debt.

The defense bill’s key funding arrangements include $14.7 billion in cash for the Pentagon’s so-called "Pacific Deterrence Initiative," which aims to continue ringing China with US military bases and offensive weapons platforms, and includes ramping up of training and cybersecurity support for Taiwan – the rogue Chinese province and technological powerhouse that’s at the heart of China-US tensions.

The legislation also features provisions for the implementation of the AUKUS security pact, including the transfer of three US Virginia-class submarines to Australia – another development that has escalated regional tensions and ruffled Beijing’s feathers.
The bill includes $300 million in annual "security assistance" to Ukraine through the end of 2026 – this time under the close eye of a specially appointed inspector general to make sure the money is going where it’s supposed to (previously, Pentagon officials admitted that they usually have no idea where the tens of billions of dollars’ worth of NATO arms go after crossing the border into Ukraine). The Ukraine funding is not to be confused with a separate, $61.4 billion request by the Biden administration for additional resources to continue funding the proxy war against Russia. That measure continues to be under debate as Congress’ holiday recess nears.

The bill lays out $11.5 billion for “defense-related activities,” $1 billion to finish construction of a new San Antonio-class amphibious transport dock for the Marine Corps, resources for the Navy’s Sea-Launched Cruise Missile Nuclear (SLCM-N) program, and $100 million in cash for new Air Force programs, including tinkering with experiments such as an unmanned F-16 fighter program.

The legislation prohibits the retirement of the Air Force’s F-22 Raptors, but does allow for older F-15 fighters and A-10 Warthog bombers to be scrapped.

Crucially, the legislation also extends a program launched last year specifically to send US arms to Ukraine allowing for the multiyear procurement of various munitions, including Tomahawk cruise missiles, Precision Strike Missiles and Small Diameter Bombs, and expands it to cover deliveries to Israel and Taiwan as well. This point offers ominous clues concerning Washington’s plans for interventions in various global hotspots, and may signal calculations by defense planners of the Palestinian-Israel crisis stretching deep into the future, and tensions over Taiwan going hot.

War Making Ok, Peacemaking No Go

The 2024 NDAA extends a controversial measure which prohibits the president of the United States from withdrawing American forces from NATO countries without approval from Congress. The provision is unabashedly aimed at preparing for a scenario in which a non-interventionist president decides to draw down US forces from countries and conflicts around the world, tying his or her hands with potentially unconstitutional restrictions.

Another controversial provision extended by the defense bill is a measure allowing US intelligence services to continue the warrantless surveillance of foreign nationals – including via the collection of their communication records, through the use of US-based communications services.

For the troops, the bill includes a 5.2 percent pay raise sweetener. However, there’s some bad news for the woke brigades, with provisions for financial support for abortion and sexual reassignment surgeries scrapped, and "diversity, equity and inclusion"-related job offerings frozen after wrangling by House Republicans. In addition, some 8,000 servicemen and women let go for refusing to take the COVID jab will be allowed to return to service.

The United States has had by far the largest military budgets in the world going back to the Second World War, typically spending more on defense than all of its major potential adversaries combined. However, spending has not always matched up with capabilities. According to a recent report by US News, Russia, whose military budget reached 9.7 trillion rubles (about $108 billion at the current exchange rate) ranked number one in military power in 2023, with the US ranking number two.

Because Russia's expenditures lack about 75% of the bloated overhead, productivity of the investment is comparable to four times as much or some $600 Billion of an American budget. And, usually they get nothing defective out of it.

As soon as they sign this stuff, fwoosh, no commander-in-chief can transfer forces out of Europe.

Unprecedented military budget this year folks.

That does not represent leadership into an era of peace such as was the claim around approximately the beginning of Israel.

The IDF provides new details of yesterday’s tragic incident in Gaza City’s Shejaiya neighborhood, during which three Israeli hostages who managed to escape Hamas captivity were shot dead by troops. According to a senior officer in the Southern Command, citing an initial probe, the incident began after one soldier stationed in a building identified three suspicious figures exiting a building several dozen meters away.
All three were shirtless, with one of the figures carrying a stick with a makeshift white flag, according to the investigation.
The soldier, who believed the men moving toward him was an attempt by Hamas to lure IDF soldiers into a trap, immediately opened fire and shouted “terrorists!” to the other forces.
According to the probe, that soldier killed two of the men, while the third, who was hit and wounded, fled back into the building from which he came.
At that stage, the commander of the battalion, who was also in the building where the soldier shot from, went outside and called on the forces to halt their fire.
Meanwhile, sounds of someone shouting “Help” in Hebrew were heard by the troops in the area.
Moments later, the third man came out of the building to which he fled, and another soldier opened fire at him, killing him.

In Shejaiya, the senior officer says the IDF has not identified any Palestinian civilians in recent days.
The officer says troops have killed at least 38 Palestinian terror operatives in Shejaiya in recent days.

Around noon today, December 2023,16 a sniper of the IDF murdered two Christian women inside the Holy Family Parish in Gaza, where the majority of Christian families has taken refuge since the start of the war. Nahida and her
daughter Samar were shot and killed as they walked to the Sister's Convent. One was killed as she tried to carry the other to safety. Seven more people were shot and wounded as they tried to protect others inside the church compound. No warning was given, no notification was provided. They were shot in cold blood inside the premises of the Parish, where there are no belligerents. Earlier in the morning, a rocket fired from an IDF tank targeted the Convent of the Sisters of Mother Theresa (Missionaries of Charity). The Convent is home to over 54 disabled persons and is part of the church compound, which was signaled as a place of worship since the beginning of the war. The building's
generator (the only source of electricity) and the fuel resources were destroyed. The house was damaged by the resulting explosion and massive fire. Yemen forces UAE to send freight by land to 'Israel' through KSA


The first batch of fresh foodstuffs arrived in "Israel" from the United Arab Emirates in the first trial of a new land bridge that is to be used instead of the Red Sea due to the Yemeni blockade on the latter, the Israeli Walla! news website reported on Saturday.

The shipment of foodstuff was transported from the UAE "through the new land bridge [used] as an alternative to the Red Sea," media reports said. The freight was transported from the UAE through Saudi Arabia then Jordan and then "Israel".

Israeli reports said the initial trial was a success, with 10 trucks making it from the UAE to occupied Palestine for the benefit of the Israeli occupation.

The trucks had to cross a distance of some 2,000 km (1,242 miles) over two days and a few hours.

Israeli media in December said an agreement was signed between the authorities of the ports of Dubai, the UAE, and Haifa, occupied Palestine, regarding the establishment of a land bridge between the two ports in a bid to avert the "Yemeni threat to shut down maritime passages."

The world's second-largest shipping company, A.P. Moller-Maersk, announced Friday the suspension of all container traffic through the Red Sea until further notice. This decision comes in response to an attack by the Yemeni Armed Forces on its container ship in the Bab al-Mandab Strait on Thursday.

Simultaneously, the Yemeni Armed Forces announced that their Naval forces carried out a military operation against the Maersk Gibraltar cargo ship, which was en route to the Israeli occupation entity.

In a statement, the Yemeni Armed Forces confirmed that the ship was targeted with a drone, adding that a direct hit was confirmed after the Maersk Gibraltar's crew refused to respond to warning calls from the Yemeni Naval Forces. The company claimed that the ship was not impacted by the attack.

"Following the near-miss incident involving Maersk Gibraltar yesterday and yet another attack on a container vessel today, we have instructed all Maersk vessels in the area bound to pass through the Bab al-Mandab Strait to pause their journey until further notice," a company's spokesperson was quoted as saying by Sky News.

It is worth noting that Maersk announced last week that it will start imposing a new risk surcharge on container shipments heading to "Israel" starting next year, citing the need to cover rising insurance premiums due to the unstable security situation.

Two 'Israel'-bound ships attacked

The spokesperson for the Yemeni Armed Forces, Brigadier General Yahya Saree publicly announced Friday that the Yemeni Naval Forces targeted the MSC Alanya and the MSC PALATIUM III with anti-ship missiles, dealing direct hits to the two vessels, having refused to heed Yemeni warnings in support of the oppressed Palestinian people, who are currently being subjected to massacres, destruction, and a siege in the Gaza Strip, in implementation of the directives of Sayyed Abdul-Malik al-Houthi, and in response to the calls of the Yemeni people.

The Brigadier General emphasized that all vessels, heading to the Israeli occupation's ports, will continue to be targeted, until "Israel" lifts its blockade on Gaza and allows for the passage of necessities into the Strip, including food and medical supplies.

This is happening as the matter got worse for the Israeli occupation after the Yemeni Armed Forces (YAF) announced a new equation following a US veto on a ceasefire in Gaza at the UNSC meeting, which added ships heading to "Israel", regardless of their nationality, to the ban, and expanding its scope to the Arabian Sea, as well the Red Sea.

This comes alongside other attacks claimed by Yemen against Israeli targets, including the launch of long-range cruise missiles and drones on several occasions, as well as ballistic missiles at "Eilat" located in the southernmost region of occupied Palestine.

You do everything you can, which I think Israel is doing right now, to avoid civilian casualties. You know, there's collateral damage in every war, and they're fighting an implacable enemy,. I don't think there's any country in the world who would go as far as Israel has gone to not invade Gaza.
